D1-MIUI-1.4.8 (Gingerbread)

im having issues with gsp on navigation, do you guys have any idea on how to fix that'

I had this problem once today where I could only get location via cell towers. I don't know what I did, possibly reboot, install deprimed kernel, cast an ancient voodoo magic spell. Somehow it started working.

went back to last version reboots way to often as of now. But great start I do love it and hope it gets better.

I still haven't been able to get gps to work yet either. Plenty of rebooting and toggling gps on and off hasn't made a difference. I do have to say that version b is much more stable so far though... still getting reboots, but not nearly as often.

magiman7, do you have a link to that kernel?

Gps

This beta is very smooth and I am using it right now as an everyday rom. The only thing that has me stumped is the GPS feature. I can't get mine to work. Any ideas?

My "maps" app shows me a few miles off of where i am, and the "navigation" app cant find my location..is this what the GPS problems are? its getting annoying :/

Can someone post some screenshots? I don't like downloading and flashing a ROM without even knowing what it looks like.

For those have a problem with gps. Try using the toggle to turn gps off then back on. Also try turning on wifi. Then run google maps. If it doesn't work, exit maps and try repeating the procedure once. If it still doesn't work, try rebooting your phone and trying the above steps.

I have been able to reflash my phone, have gps not work, then try some things and it works. I haven't been able to completely isolate what I did that made it work, but I know that I have been able to get it to work when it wasn't twice. I don't know if this was exactly what I did to get it working, but I think it is.

Great work, I've only had one soft reboot in the last five hours. I normally got that on Froyo MIUI anyways! Thanks a ton and good luck on the next build(s). Looking forward to them!

This could potentially be ground breaking if some of these things get fixed later down the road.

My biggest issues so far have been with the soft reboots. It did improve as time went on but unfortunately I had to switch roms because I needed something stable for the day. It was soft rebooting at least 5 times per hour at first, and throughout last night, was reduced to 2-3 times per hour.

The other issue was the lag issue.

It is MIUI so it looks awesome duhhh. Actually you can check out some screenshots on the end of THIS post here.

EDIT: (nevermind, i see no one put any up yet.... welllllll, it looks just about the same as the froyo verison, but a little different.)

Way to look through the forums:p. The screenshots are on page 11 (the previous page). There are a ton of screens, so take a look!

Well they should be on the OP. No one wants to scroll through an unknown number of pages and posts just to see what it looks like lol.

5 minutes after flashing this ROM I had about 4 reboots. MIUI is the only ROM that gives me this problem.
