Hmm...I just experienced my first random reboot tonight since V3.3 or 4.1...not sure what caused it...

If you're experiencing frequent reboots, the first thing I would try is a clean install... are you experiencing any other issues or just the reboots? Can you find any pattern there? What are you usually doing/running when these occur?

I think actually that I ran so much crap that I ran out of sysyem memory...and I read that this can cause the system to soft boot in order to free up memory... either way, I did go back to stock music player

Ahhh, the infamous lockslider reboot. Yea I was getting those right after the 2.3.340 OTA from

Verizon. But after the DarkSlide 4.2 release it went away. I still say you do a fresh install of ROM.

And if you want to get rid of the slider reboot without reinstalling the ROM you can get the app off

the Market called "no lock." I used it for a while when running 928's Black Glass Theme cause it

caused reboots. As far as an update release....those guys are always working on something. If I were

to guess I would say it's not too far off. But I can NOT speak for the devs.

i tried a fresh reboot 3x now and still reboots, my droid x just rebooted two times today =/ and its getting annoying =( hopefully when a full release comes out it will change that =) its really a great rom and dont want to switch =)

Just curious, where did you download from? If you download from here:

You will see that darkslide 4.2 is a full release...follow the instructions in post #4 and you should be fine...

I know, but I don't like the battery gauge; I prefer The Gingerbread one; The alarm icon is too imposing too. I'd like the notification bar icons to be just a little simpler; everything else I love though.

I have metamorphed a different battery, 3g, alarm, and vibrate icon. I just get the ones i want off droidpirate.com and then open the zip, find the images, and edit them the way want them, then save them exactly the same and zip everything back up. the i just use matamorph to apply them, has worked well for me only thing to watch for is that battery meter is in 10% increments not 20% so make sure there are images for all of them or the the icon will keep switching back to the gauge.

Would you be willing to point me in the right direction on where to find one on droidpirate with 10% I increments .....I changed a couple times using droidpirate and metmorph successfully but can only find 20 % increments .....also what did you do with the charging images?I notice there tends to be more images for charging with the guage batt that comes with ds making it hard to replace properly

Yea i didn't get the charging icon to use only the new one haven't taken the time to fix that. i used this one: Metamorph

um if you open that up i think you could change each of the images to be whatever you want, big thing is that they stay named the same. i'll try to look into getting the charging to totally overwrite when i get a chance

They have a huge selection on DroidPirate. But...I don't see or cant find any 10% increments.

just an interesting question...i was on liberty 1.5 for a couple days just to try it out...but for some reason my phone stopped accepting calls lol so back to DS i went...i did a new install, i didnt restore a backup...anyway i installed DS 4.2 after wiping...but i forgot to mount system...yet everything went fine? so then why do we mount system?

Well some believe that mounting the system before a wipe makes for a more thorough wipe. Which makes sense to me, but unfortunately I can't explain it any better, lol. But if everything went smooth and there is no traces of previous ROM I definitely wouldn't worry about it. Not that you were

The preview that bbcrackman has on the new DarkSlide is sick..cant wait for it..4.2 is by far the most stable rom I've ever used
