I guess there is an option in astro(I use root explorer) to enable browser downloads if you prefer the stock browser. I had the same issue and switched to dolphin and everything is fine now

I have been running this rom for a few weeks and when I thought it could not get any better, I was blown away by the crispness and clean look of the text in this rom. As well as how everything is themed. This is the rom of choice for me and should be the same for everyone.

For update-no. Just:
Install zip from sdcard
Choose zip from sdcard
Select update zip
Install
Reboot

Every time I click the link to download, I get a message stating unable to download content not supported by phone. Have bootstrap, titanium backup, running froyo. Do I need a different browser? Using stock browser. Thanks for any help.

Try using Dolphin Browser (it's free) or xScope ($2 or $3)
