In the Spare Parts app you have transitions options...you can change the speed and you can turn them off...

Also when I got my launcher pro update yesterday it gave me the option to switch to adw launcher and I wanted to try it so I switched it to my default how do I switch back to launcher pro it doesn't give me the option in applications

Settings>applications>manage applications>all> adw> clear defaults. Then when you hit the home key it'll ask which you want and you have the option to set default again
