Delay While Dialing?

Is setting a delay in contact number possible with the Droid? For instance my contact for voicemail is set to the number 1. I would like to set a delay while dialing that number and then add my access code to dial automatically after the delay. Does anyone know if/how this is possible?

for my VM number i use "*86,,xxxx#"
