Deleting Texts

My son has a thread with about 2000 texts on his Incredible. When we check it, and press delete it keeps showing busy, but does nothing. Is there a quicker more simple way to delete messages. I have tried powering on & off and a 30 second battery pull. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Same thing happened to me. It just takes forever. Just think- a normal cellphone holds maybe 100-200 text messages. I posted a thread on here earlier asking the same thing, and everyone said this didn't happen to them, but I'm thinking they just don't text as much as I or your son XD.

Just delete them all and wait for it. I had around 1000 and the loading status was circling for about 5-10 minutes. After, just make sure he deletes his texts more frequently if it bugs him.
