Does your droid have this bug? Rooted or not!

LOL, my sdcard/data folder has stuff in it...

Installed Launcher Pro... how do you access it??

just click home and it'll ask you if you want to use launcher pro, say yes and set as default if you like

Very interesting... However, I went from 5 screens to 3... The lag is non existent now... How do you change the setting of it?

click menu and preferences and you'll see all the launcher pro settings

Yeah same here.... However I wish I could do that file hack...

Really weird...you guys have a D1? Even the market installed apps should be installed to /data/app...so I don't understand how the heck your /data/ folder is empty...makes no sense...

Unless the "File Manager" is not letting me see anything in the folder...

EDIT: I'm going to try a different file manager

ah ok you need a file manager that allows you to view your files as root...that's all it is...so root explorer or if there are any other explorers out there that allow root access.

Because you neet a root file explorer to see your /data folder; a run-of-the-mill non-root explorer will show an empty folder since it doesn't have permissions to view the files.

I know...i had told them they need a root explorer but they weren't using one.

I really don't want to spend money to modify one file.... lol

yeah i wouldnt expect you to either haha...see how launcherpro does for you, it may clear up the redraw

Yes, it worked, but I gave me 3 screen instead of 5, and everything seemed...well different... Going to try other avenues...

Thanks for all the tips..

you can change the number of screens to 5 in launcherpro, its in the preferences...there's a ton of options

OK, will try it again... I just like the default screen with what I have now... I tried to change the shortcuts on the menu bar but it seemed it did not work... having google talk and gmail right there was great
