For what its worth, my /data folder is empty as well.
i wonder if its a rom specific thing...i know pete likes moving things around in his roms...are you on BB also?
I am rooted, but just running the stock rom.
Yeah same here.... However I wish I could do that file hack...
Really weird...you guys have a D1? Even the market installed apps should be installed to /data/app...so I don't understand how the heck your /data/ folder is empty...makes no sense...
Unless the "File Manager" is not letting me see anything in the folder...
ah ok you need a file manager that allows you to view your files as root...that's all it is...so root explorer or if there are any other explorers out there that allow root access.

I know...i had told them they need a root explorer but they weren't using one.
I really don't want to spend money to modify one file.... lol

Yes, it worked, but I gave me 3 screen instead of 5, and everything seemed...well different... Going to try other avenues...

you can change the number of screens to 5 in launcherpro, its in the preferences...there's a ton of options

OK, will try it again... I just like the default screen with what I have now... I tried to change the shortcuts on the menu bar but it seemed it did not work... having google talk and gmail right there was great
