Greetings everyone!

My first smartphone was a Blackberry Storm. I loved it and to begin with thought I would never leave the Blackberry world. Then in an effort to save some money I went from VZW to Virgin Mobile and picked up the LG Optimus V and said hello Android OS where have you been all my life?!! After a few months of poor service with Virgin Mobile I went back to Verizon (lost my unlimited data in that whole process :icon_evil:) and picked up the Motorola Bionic.

That is what brings me here. I have been flashing roms and trying to keep up with all the ICS leaks that have been rolling out. I discovered SamuriHL's House of Bionic (I'm on the 242 path of no return :)) and noticed he does a lot of his posting here so I thought I would join the fun here.

Thanks for making us feel welcome!

Jeff

Hi all!

Been a lurker for a couple years and never registered. I'm still using my first smart phone (droid x) and the end of my two year contract came up a few weeks ago. My x has been a good phone but with wear and tear, I'm looking to upgrade to a newer device. Most of my family has the iPhone and they are really pushing for me to get the iPhone 5. I have an iPad 2 and like it a lot but I'm not a fan of the iPhone after having experienced the comparison between the x and their iPhones. I was a fan of the galaxy note but big red never got it and now I have the note 2 in my sights. If Verizon does pick up the note 2 then that would be my first choice with the s3 a close second. I've had some hands on with the s3 and like it a lot but I'm challenged visually and have big hands so a bigger phone would be optimal for me.

I'm looking forward to following the updates on the note 2 here and welcome any recommendations.

Welcome to DF tivo. Happy to see you join in. The Sg3 is a great phone. I am sure exactly what the status is for Verizon getting the note but I know a lot are hoping for the same. I actually just watched a review on the TV about the new iPhone 5. One thing the reporter mentioned was the inability to stream music from programs such as Pandora. That was surprising and would be a definite game stopper for me. I think it would be a tough transition coming from android. A friend of mine who is not tech savvy at all just switched to the iPhone. As little as she did in utilizing the full capacity of her android, she frequently complains about the various things she does not have in her iPhone that she had with her android. Definitely check out the new phones on the horizon.

Thanks for the reply!

Nice to feel welcomed :)

I too love pandora and have the app on my droid x along with my fios app. I was suspecting that there would be issues with the iphone on such things so I'l definately be going the android route.
Looks like if the note 2 comes to VZ then the soonest may be october but november may seem more realistic-who knows? I will be poking around here for sure to get the latest updates

Thanks again

Sincerely

Tivo

Hello, I am new to this site. I am also new to the smart phone world, I have a Razr Maxx and really do not know how to really use it. I can go online, text and call but that's really it. I know the phone can do tons of stuff, just have know clue how to do it. I found this site while searching for a solution to an irritating false notification problem.
Hoping to find a solution and browse around to find out more about my phone.
Thanks,
Kim
