has anybody purchased this yet? I just installed it on my droid x and when i tap a persons name in the people widget it pulls up their contact card rather then the little popup it shows in the screenshots. Any ideas on that?

i downloaded this to Astro File Manager, but now i'm not sure how to install it on my phone. if this is the right forum for enlisting help, i need it!!

the zip file shows up in Astro, but when i launch App Manager/Backup, LauncherProPlus does not appear as something to "backup". also, i don't see an "install" choice (even tho i checked the box in Settings to allow non-mkt apps)....??

Did you try long pressing the file name?

yeah, i tried that too (numerous times) and the choices it gave me did not lead to the "app manager/backup" or "install"... getting frustrated with my technical ignorance!

i just downloaded it directly to my phone, and it worked fine. i don't know what the problem was with downloading to my computer... only bad thing is i ended up buying it twice...

I just put the installer file on my SD card from my computer, after I bought it, then opened Astro, clicked in the file and ran the installer, which actually just upgrades your current Beta launcher. Mines worked fine.

My complaint
- Stupid Facebook doesn't allow photos to be pulled by 3rd party apps. I literally have like 5 contact photos on Google out of my 300 phone numbers. Facebook will make it like 250/300 populated but thanks to the inability to pull photos this widget looks like ass for me. I think I need to go through and populate my photos manually or something. Yikes.
- Favorites not working? At least my favorites are somewhat on my Gmail contacts so they have contact photos. If I can at least make it show my favorites only, then I'll at least have some photos instead of 290/300 blanks... LOL.

I'm feeling a little stupid right now -:redface: - not being able to figure out how to install this...
Purchased, downloaded to computer, copied to SD card...When i try to open it with Astro by long pressing on the LauncherProPlus-0.7.0 file, it gives me the following options...Details, Open As, Edit, Send, and Extract. I don't have install. Do i need to extract something from this to install it?

Got it - ended up installing Skyfire, downloaded it as .apk from there and it works great!

i may just be unconsciously trying to justify my purchase, but it does seem noticeably snappier! i'm diggin' it!! once Froyo finally drops, this thing will fly! i might actually forget how ticked i am that my mere-7-month-old D1 has been discontinued and overlooked by Moto and VZW...

I did this because I am too lazy to install Astro, and it worked.

The file I got was an apk... so i just used the adb install method...

didn't think about using the restore/save icons option

i tried it, but had issues. altho, the "issues" i was having may have to do with the fact that i was trying to download it at 2 a.m....

in the end, downloading directly to my phone was quick and flawless. for anyone else trying this, just remember to follow the dev's recommendation to download via Skyfire.
