Droid 2 Bootlooping - Can't get into recovery

He's right. Getting a new phone is also, most likely, out of the question as your warranty has been voided. Hate that for you!

If you can't get in to the bootloader then you might be sol... sorry bro

DroidForums junkie!!

I think insurance would cover it. All they really want is their $90 but that's a touchy subject here.

The battery thing is a good suggestion. I think the d1 battery will work in the d2 so try tossing yours on there and see if you can get back in.

So now we have a new problem, it boots up with my battery but bootloops now with the droid eye... And now I tried to swap the battery back with the regular Droid 2 battery and now his phone isn't powering on...

Then don't use his battery just yet. Were you able to flash the triple threat sbf?

Yes just tried to use my battery again and it still bootlooped at the Droid Eye. Well my friend's being an ass and making me take his phone to the Verizon store... So I guess I'm going to do that...

The SBF was successful, and it wont boot past the droid eye your in luck. Boot into STOCK recovery and wipe cache/data aka Factory Reset, then from stock recovery hit reboot system.

Reason being it bootloops is because you installed a new file system and its used to working with the old file system. So just follow instructions above and you should be good man.
