Droid 2 Bootlooping - Can't get into recovery

*sigh* well I was trying to tell him it was a bad idea to go to the Verizon store tonight but he refused to let me work on it myself since it was 7:30ish and it closed at 8... I kept telling him it was a dumb idea but now he's getting a new one shipped in... Whatever he's dumb I'm kind of pissed I ever rooted his phone because he has no clue what the hell he's doing at all.

But I want to thank everyone on this topic who helped me out. If it were my phone these things would never have happened. My Droid's been working fine since May. But you guys are the best I am glad I turned to you. Too bad he's already getting a replacement and in honesty I don't think I want to root it again. I'll stick to what I know and root Droid 1s.

Yeah he went in and played dumb and did it terribly and somehow he still got them to ship a replacement.. But oh well. Thanks for all your help! If any of you ever need any graphic work I'd be more than happy to help you out with that for free. That's more my area of expertise.

But if he still has his D2, go look a few pages and I do believe it's post 30-31 and tell him to follow those directions and his D2 WILL work again.

sometimes when my d2 is being a wh*re and I need to get into recovery I yank the battery, put it back in, when the "M" logo begins to fade yank the battery then immediately re-insert the battery and it forces a boot into recovery. Check it out. Let us know.

Well I just fixed his phone with the stock recovery. Now its working fine unrooted. He's still going to get the other one though.

Yeah. Id tell your friend just to keep his D2. And send the replacement back. They will more then likely ask questions, that he wont be able to answer..

Fyi.. to the dude with the friends phone lol forgot name to early.. listen I had the ally and it was giving me probs. They sent a new and I fixed the old. Sent back the new ally. No questions like it was new wtf. Couple days later complained about it.. got the d2.. if you send new back in box and keep old they should not even question it.. just my buck fifty, I dids it...
