Droid 2 Owners, What's your old phone?

i had the original droid. glad i can still use all types of internet related things on it over wifi! its like having another ipod touch!

Motorolla Q9m

Installed Q9c's OS to take it from WM6.0 to WM6.1
Phone had potential, decent messaging, great keyboard, the Skyfire app was a good browser. Being a windows mobile phone was great, and horrible. Had lots of open oppurtunity, but never updated and had glitches and bugs. Froze randomly. It ate batteries for a snack, then my extended battery for main course. Literally would eat standard battery in hours of normal use. Extended usually lasted about a day with moderate texting.

Droid 2.2 = AMAZING. Pinpointing the battery drain, and getting better life.

I came from the Droid 1 after going through 5 of Verizon's "Certified Like New Replacement" phones. Don't believe the hype, the last D1 I got fried within an hour and 2 times unlocking the screen. Took me 3 hours of *****ing and griping, but they finally upgraded me to a new D2. Let's hope this one isn't nearly as buggy!

casio g'zone.. it was a decent phone.. it help up to a beating that i put it through.

i'm a computer tech and i think i was probably the only one in my whole company without a smart phone of some sort..

coming from a nexus one, t-mobile, so nice to be off of that ****ty network.

+1 to that! I too came from T-Mobile, after 2 1/2 years of service (was previously with VZW 4 years)... Bit of a phone junkie myself. Left VZW on the original Moto Q. Had the Wing, G1, BB Curve 8320, BB Curve 8900, BB Bold, Touch Pro2, HD2, Mytouch, MyTouch Slide, and Finally the Vibrant... Started back with VZW with the Droid 1, then the Droid 2 came out 2 days later... So naturally went back to the store and exchanged for the Droid 2. LOVING it, and the NETWORK. Even though I'm paying quite a bit more (got a corporate discount with TMO), I am QUITE satisfied.:icon_ banana:dancedroid

Blackberry Storm. So far very happy with the Droid 2, I have no more freezes and battery pulls or quick pull. I went through 7 Storms before upgrading due to phone issues. One time while replacing s defective Storm the Store went throu 8 brand new phones before they found one that would setup correctly.

Switched providers and upgraded from the AT&T Tilt (HTC Kaiser) after the SIM card reader on it just crapped out for no apparent reason. I used it for a year and a half but actually used Android on it for most of that time by loading Android ROMs from XDA Developers.

droid eris

Was previously using droid eris. Got the eris over the Moto Droid bcz the droid seemed huge comming from bb pearl but was jealous of the processing power and physical keyboard the whole time. . . Remember when it was "cool" to have the smallest phone ?! Eris was a good device and made my blackberry look silly. Droid 2 is awesome and its now considered small by some, and definately in comparison to droidx and evo

WM6.1... Being a windows mobile phone was great, and horrible. Had lots of open oppurtunity, but never updated and had glitches and bugs.

What he said. I had an XV6800 WM6.1 phone. Didn't hate it, certainly didn't love it. It got the job done most of the time. #1 annoying problem with it was how long it took to bring up the phone UI upon an incoming call. By the time I heard a ring the caller had heard AT LEAST two.

D2's certainly a helluva lot faster. I've probably done more with the D2 in the past week than I did with the XV6800 in over 2 years.

I kind of miss the way the XV6800 laid out numbers on the keyboard. I don't mind the D2 style across the top, but I did like the keypad style.

WinMo had great potential but MS pretty much squandered it.

Had blackberry's for years, the last one being a Tour 9630. The Droid 2 is an amazing upgrade, and the Android platform flat out smokes Blackberry. Why oh why did I wait so long to switch? Seriously...what an idiot.
