Droid 2 Owners, What's your old phone?

I had an Omnia, and I really tried to like it. Unfortunately, I had so many screen alignment issues with them, that I just gave up. Trying to figure out what the best way is to get rid of my old phone now - maybe see if it blends, put it on the train track, or something else.

I got the lg ally when it first came out. It was okay but didn't have the capabilities I needed to perform statistical analyses for my thesis so I bought the droid2 the day it was in stock. Vast improvement!!

I was another of the free upgrade group... used to have a D1, before that it was a LG Dare which I hated... but i couldn't be happier with my Droids...

My upgrade to D2 was a pretty big leap. Came from a LG EnV2. Not a bad phone for battery life, texting and calls but it was well... severely limited in what it could do.

Just got a D2. Came from D1 and before that I also had a Touch Pro2.

Not sure if I am going to keep the D2 since it is not much of an upgrade from D1.

Sanyo MM-8300 (Sprint) to Samsung SPH-M610 (Sprint) to Samsung Upstage (Sprint) to HTC Dash (T-mobile) to Samsung Omnia (Verizon best network) to Motorola Droid 1. I loved my Droid but the screen craped out. Next Drpid had a loose screen and messed up audio port. The next after that made random calls, and the one after that had a messed up audio port. I talked to tech support, management, higher management, and corperate, but noone wanted to help me. I finally wrote customer support and now Im waitinng on a Motorola Droid 2. Hopefully I have this phone for a long time. All my other phones had warranty issues. If a phone works and I like it I'll hold on to it untill it dies.

moto backflop or backflip, I loved the device itself but I couldn't live with the restrictions and the no availible root, so I switched to verizon and 2 days later behold... the backflip was rooted, but I love my droid 2 more than I can put into words (except the cropping of the wallpaper which even on the backflip I could get around but seems impossible on this phone but thats for another thread). I gave my wife the backflip and she thinks its the best thing in the world, ignorance is bliss.

mine was the storm... big difference now just have learn it all. I have windows 7 and have to figure out to get the software to accept files to the phone now. I guess that is what weekends are for.

Well, let's see. I was with AT&T and left them for Verizon. I wanted the Droid 1 but they said they didn't have them in stock anymore. So I got the LG Ally.

Bad move.

That was the worst phone I've ever had. Slow, unresponsive, terrible... I would never recommend that phone to anyone. Just today i went to the verizon store because I had had enough with the Ally and got the Droid 2. I've been loving it so far.

I came most recently from the Droid 1.

The Droid 1 was an awesome phone.... and I am happy to see that the Droid 2 is even better! The only thing keeping the D2 from being the perfect phone is that it's not easy to flash roms like the 1.

LG Voyager in titanium.

I really tried to like that phone, but in the end I hated it. I couldn't wait to upgrade. Sept 3 was my upgrade date, the last 3 months were the toughest. Despite rumors to the contrary they wouldn't let me upgrade early (without losing money) I now have a Droid 2.

HTC eris............kinda like the 3rd cousin to the droid 2. It did what I needed but the d2 does it with much more speed and style!

I had a samsung Omnia. OMG what a horrid phone. I had to buy the SPB shell just to make it tolerable. The typing was such a chore that I acutally used internet speak just because it took so long to type true english. The XT9 would guess words that were so far away from what I wanted that it was pointless. Not to mention it was a windows phone and that means it has about 5 apps and they are all way overpriced.

I was going to wait for the Samsung Galaxy S but decided I needed a hard keyboard for the longer emails.

I'm quite satified with the phone. Especially with the speech to text and battery life.

Been with Verizon for years, can't remember how long. But the last few phones I have had were; original Razr to a music Razr to my last phone, a titanium Voyager. Very good phone, as I had no problems with it other than the slow internet surfing. Upgraded in August with my New Every 2 to my Droid 2 and love it. Never looking back now, :icon_ banana:
