Well from all of you it seems like a great device. I played with one yesterday in the Verizon store and it was extremely fast. The pentile screen was a bit pixely for my tastes but you said it does great in sun light which would be great because i work primarily outdoors and the D2s screen is aweful outside. So what would you guys say, because i am tempted by it, is it worth the $460 off contract?

NFC will be a resounding bust. Paypass is similar idea. Wave your paypass keybob at the terminal and it charges your card. Who has one and who, other then ExxonMoblie, takes it?
And this will be more complicated. Take out phone, start app, punch in numbers, wave phones at each other, fail, wave phones at each other again, fail, get ticked off, wave phones again, have guy in the line behind you insult you, have clerk say cash only....

Also, it relies on retailer adoption. That won't happen if 1 or 2 phones support it. It will take a LONG while for it to be something useful. Well past your next contract...
Generally is used when people ask questions about something that the answer is easy to find on Google. The guy he replied to wasn't asking a question, so it was actually kind of out of place for him to post that.
Looking into buying a D3 but i want to make sure its future proof, (dual core, hi-Res display, better keyboard) but i haven't found anything that has said that it has an NFC chip inside it, which is something I know I would use for google wallet. So, does it have it?
NFC isnt even a standard yet....buy the Droid 3 and NFC might be useful in 2 years from now when it comes up for renewal, you're not going to gain anything beneficial by waiting for AndroidXYZ in 6 months from now.....
