DROID 3 or Bionic?

I do not think we are going to see the Galaxy S2 for a very long time. Especially since Samsung is in legal battles with Apple right now.

I have a Droid Charge and the battery life is actually pretty good, but I am in a 3G zone now, 4G sometime later this year. The SAMOLED+ display helps with battery life. That said Samsung is still pushing ahead with the launch of their phones, the time lines are more carrier driven than Samsung driven. Whether or not Apple's case has any merit, which I don't see any merit in it. What I see is Apple trying to bully another company and they ARE scared of what Android is doing and Samsung is putting out very competitive devices. When you can beat them outright you sue them.

I meant to say the Charge isn't bad with battery. I miss-typed:). I agree I do not like Apples bully techniques. I think Samsung at the moment is less worried about getting Verizon to play ball with them, when the GS2 is already basically Att and tmobile ready as is. I think that VZW and Samsung will both drag their feet when it comes to the S2.

Yea....its basically physical keyboard vs. 4G, 4.3 vs 4.0 screen.

It really depends on what you want more. Me, I barely used my keyboard on my Droid 1 so I will probably be doing all touch screen unless a phone with a physical keyboard is too hard to pass up. Like if I was on Sprint last year I probably woulda got the Epic over the EVO.

Ya I agree too. I really think that the keyboard on the Droid bionic will be great and there really is not a reason to have a sliding keyboard.

I also heard that the Droid 3 was going to be running on a 3G network?

Is that true?

Ya that is stupid.

I'm using the Charge and the 4G is super fast but when it switches up to 3G it is really slow.

Its not worth to get a 3G phone this time of the year.

The big thing for me will be battery life.

I have the extended battery in my Droid 2. If Neither of them have extended batteries, I won't be buying either of them.

Does anyone know of any extended batteries for either of them?

I haven't heard, but I am sure there will be.
So far pretty much every "Droid" phone has had several.

I hope is comes with the 19xx mAH battery though.
Thats higher than some extended batteries for my X.

The D3 is only 3G, but its also a Global GSM phone which can be of benefit for business travelers. Plus we all have to remember 3G will be around for several more years at the minimum.

Verizon wants to push 4G LTE all the way and eventually drop 3G from voice and data completely and lower their network costs (and charge us more money). Until then, a lot of markets are still 3G and Verizon will need a massive footprint to achieve 100% 4G LTE coverage.

Thanks for the quick reply! :)

With that 4G it will need a huge battery.

No problem.:)
And thats true. It should have a 1800mAH+ battery if it is shipping LTE capable.
The last thing we need is it to have battery life like the Thunderbolt.
Even though there are ways to improve the life on any android phone.
