The reason why we root is to not worry aboutthe reason why we root is to not worry about official updates! We get better stuff sooner thanx to the many great developers

+100 , To many people are all worrried about the official Software Update. It really doesn't matter to me and to the ones that loaded up the leaked update, because like shane1 said, the developers will get it out to us either way. No worries.....

You don't know that for sure until it is released. There were a lot of unhappy dx owners that got into the same ordeal. I'm just trying to look out for you guys. Maybe you'll get lucky. But one thing is for certain: there is a real risk of being off the upgrade path permanently if you install this leaked update. Install at your own peril...

Not Complicated at all. Once you have the update zip...

**make sure you have your battery charged before doing this**

1. Move the zip to the root (not in any folders) of your sd-ext (not internal sd)
2. Shut the phone down
3. Hold the X button on your keyboard while powering up the phone
4. Once you're in the bootloader screen (android and !) press and hold the up vol and while holding, press the down vol
5. Navigate to Install update and select with the power button
6. Navigate to the zip file and chose it with the power button
7. Wait
8. Keep waiting
9. Once it's done you should see the option to boot into android at the top, do that.

The initial boot up took a little longer than usual, but that's it.

This.

You can also install it by placing the file in LOST.DIR.
