Sorry it's at your expense Sam, but reading through this thread has been giving me a small break from my family emergencies. I too had problems with the Google thing...restored a backup in the meantime.

Probably a dumb question, Does formatting /system touch anything on the non safe side? or does it ONLY wipe the safe ROM?

The system wipe thing must have been the missing thing, I have the 1.1 version going and working well, including a google account added. I will let it sit here a couple hours before I start getting my apps set back up.

So all I have installed is Facebook and again, I am not getting an option to sync my contacts from facebook from within the program. I turned it on in the contacts options but still nothing.

Hey Davros, if you click the menu key when in Facebook and click about, what version does it say you are using?

It says I am using version 1.9.6 and there is no apparent update available that I can find.

I might uninstall it and reinstall and see what happens....

Yes, I know about this option that is supposed to be there, but it is not.

System wipe didn't work for me. Something happened in safestrap and I lost everything. Even my nonsafe side got wipes

Restoring now, I will try redownloading. And see if that helps, hoping its not an issue with safestrap.
