Droid Incredible closed out

I never used an HTC phone before, so I cant say how it compares to the Motorola's I've used as far as reception. I have used Samsung's tho. I will never use another Samsung phone again.

Maybe push back the release of the Droid Inc.? Now by the time they DO ship the backordered units, the Inc. will be obsolete and there will be newer better models for sale.

Wait a min....just like Apple vs Windows, iPhone vs Android, Motorola vs HTC, Droid vs, Inc., there are fanboys on both sides.

Even if I show some HTC, Samsung, etc users that my Motorola phone works where other phones have no service....they still find a way to dispute it. "Its the weather, whats the readings, where was your hand at, etc.

i don't see htc users or mods with htc phones on this forum spreading rumors as if it were fact or denigrating moto devices. but that is what's happening here. all of a sudden a bunch of moto users are acting all high and mighty because motorola is supposedly > than htc... because moto is metal and htc is plastic. LOL!

if i never had a moto device i could probably make up a whole bunch of bad stuff based on conjecture and rumor, but i have had a moto device so i know it's strengths and weaknesses. now that i've tried an htc device i can say the same about that phone from first hand experience.

as for the reception stuff, it's bunk imo. my incredible has given me the same signal strength that the droid has (good and bad) throughout my travels in and out of state. there may be a legitimate issue with the number of bars that display, but in actual voice and data use there has been no issues with signal. for other ymmv.

i like moto phones too, but this is getting out of control.

BzB, you have to just sit back and chuckle! ROM's, Launchers, and Phones have cult like status here. It is funny, isn't it? You know the Inc is a great phone, and that can't be minimized "for real" but we do have our favorites, and they are never the same are they? I think this thread is funny:rofl3:

No, but what u do see is Inc owners claiming the Inc, is a better phone, or claiming better call quality and reception. When that might not be the case as far a reception. But like u said, YMMV......

I never used an HTC phone before. But I have used 2 Samsungs. Currently, if both of my Motorola's worked in places my Samsung's didnt, would u say that the my Motorola's had better reception compared to my Samsung's?

I work an in area that has bad reception. I can test the reception all day here. I would love to be able to get all the phones out on the market now and test them against each other here at work, unfortunately I cant afford to do that...lol

Just based on my experience, Mototola is a phone I can count on for reception vs Samsung. Maybe one day I will try an HTC phone, just to see if it does have the same or better reception. I mean before anything, I need my phone to be a phone first.

As far as Motorola>HTC, I dont about that, but the Eris is no longer available on Verizon website. The Droid is still there.

i have to admit, johnly, it is funny in a way. at first is was android against everyone else - apple, blackberry, etc. but now that android is gaining so much steam even some android users are looking for ways to differentiate themselves from each other. at first there were forum wars over who had the best rom and kernels... now it's who has the better manufacturer, carrier, processor, etc...is it made of unobtanium or kryptonite, etc etc.

i guess this was inevitable and would eventually spiral into the mud, but hey!...that's the way of the world... lol.

the same thing happens on crackberry. people think one blackberry is better than the other because of this, that, or the third, but at the end of the day it's still the same lame-o blackberry os. i guess there's always something to argue about. figures android users would be the same.

there may be some of that, but it's always chalked up as personal opinion and i haven't seen any incredible users saying the moto droid sucks for (insert reason here) and the only phone that should have "Droid" attached to it is one particular manufacturer.

fortunately i have had both for a period of time and i would say that the choice really comes down to form factor and if you want a keyboard or not. with root the moto droid is comparable to the incredible in terms of speed.

as for the eris, there's no reason to sell that phone anymore imo with the choices of the incredible and droid available.

The Droid days might be numbered with the Droid 2 coming out....LOL!! For real, Verizon shouldnt even sell it anymore. Its too similar to the Droid 2.

That is a very accurate point BzB. Android, droid, who cares as long as it IS right?! FTW

How about all the problems the phones have been plagued with?
The inc spies on your browser history, taking screenshots and saving them in a way a factory reset won't remove.
The evo falls apart, and the inc and evo are both very unresponsive at the top half.
We all forgot that the N1 is not meant to be kept in the pocket or the screen might just get a nice spiderweb crack in it?
Moto rocks the OMAP, HTC loves the crapdragon.
Moto is quality, HTC is high tech crap. That's why moto has "fanboys" we just like quality.
