Hi. My first time on any forum, so I hope I follow proper protocols...
And I hope this site is right place for my question...
I recently purchased, thru my independent cell dealer, a used Motorola Droid Razr on ebay. Verizon version, unlocked, clean esn, great condition, highly rated selling company. I use an independent carrier that uses Verizon lines, a month by month plan, so the phone needs to be modified down to 3G to use. I have been very unhappy with the last phone I bought frm my cell guy, it's been a problem since day 1. Told it was new, its not; lots of problems . When the razr came, he told me he would only refund a portion of my money on the crappy Samsung . I was not happy . I pushed for full refund. Finally just asked how long it would take to modify my razr I had just bought; I need a phone that works. He grinned and said 3-4 weeks. I don't know much, but I know its not that long; 3 or 4 days should have done it. Once the phone came, he told me a week. OK, I just wanted it over, and a phone that works. After a week, he said bad news, software in phone new version, his tech guy doesn't yet know how to modify it :icon_eek:. Could take 2-3 weeks. Gee, that's the total time he told me when I was not happy about his refund offer :icon_eek:. Hmmm.
So, my question: has there been a software update to the razr? That would cause a challenge to modify it to use on Page Plus? Or am I getting a run around? If so, how do I find a techie to modify it? I spent a lot of money. Either this phone is usable for me, or I need to get my money back from the guy. (I didn't know to sign up ahead for PayPal, so the cell guy bought it thru his account). I'm really concerned at this point.
Thanks for any advice.
BTW...the Samsung: alphabetizes the directory only by first name, which is bizarre. The unusable part: when the phone is on a call and needs dialpad, it does not stay lit long enough for me to put in a 4 digit code; sometimes it wouldn't take one digit. Even with screen time limit lengthened. Since last week, the dialpad during a call won't work at all . This is not what I paid for:angry:. I have complained since the beginning about this phone. The guy just kept doing little things, telling me to try it for a few more days...till it got past the 30 days . This is just not good. Plus, I paid for a new Samsung phone. I need a phone that works; we all expect that. So, beware the Samsung.
