Instead of bogging down the servers why don't you just simply turn on your update notification and wait for that then update your phone. You will be instantly notified when ICS is available for you to grab!

It really is a shame that your phone truly is smarter then you are.

Settings > Sounds > scroll down to "software update alert"

Something really strange just happened. I got the new update notification and read about it. When I went and look for the update it says my device is up to date. lol
