[TOOLS] Droid RAZR Utility 1.8

Ok this is starting to get to me. Im running tha .215 leak and trying to root my Razr Maxx which had tha .211 ICS update where i updated to tha .215 leak. I don't have internet at my house so i downloaded tha Utility 1.8 and 1.81. I moved tha zipped files to my PC and extracted them to a folder on my desktop. Im running Windows XP. I've tried ecery USB port on my PC and I've tried tha original cable and 2 different data cables. Ive put phone in Media and Camera mode. On my PC there is something wrong wit tha MotoHelper cause tha window keeps popping up to debug it and send report which i cant cause i dont have internet on PC. Can somebody please help me and point me in tha right direction?

My first guess is that you will have to update the Moto usb drivers on your PC in order for it to connect to your phone correctly.

The Motohelper screen probably pops up to have you debug it because it is looking for an internet connection. It had been a long time since xp, but in the task bar tray, right click on the Moto icon and tell it to "Do nothing."

Yes, it can be very frustrating especially when sometimes it is something fairly minor that is the problem.

Very cool! Remember to update the moto drivers on the PC, put your phone in debugging mode, use the stock usb cable, and connect as media or camera mode.

Will do. Ive got everything wrote down, i even checked to make sure i didn't have droid explorer like that one did. Like when i go to option #2 and i hit enter it says daemon cannot connect and adb server internal and external commands not exist. Its something like that. Im guessing its XP and tha Moto drivers. It should still root from option #2 with me running tha .215 leak right?

Yes, of all the craziest things with droid explorer. And you can find the updated drivers in one of the folders of the extracted utility.
