[TOOLS] Droid RAZR Utility 1.8

I am currently running .211 rooted. I tried to upgrade to .214 I had to try several times, the program didnt see the phone. Finally it started to do something. The phone restarted and it had a little android guy in the middle with a triangle in his chest and i think a ! in the middle of it. I dont know what i did to finally get it to reboot, but it did. The phone is acting like it did when i first bought it. I had to choose english, and enter in my google account info and all of that. All of my apps are gone and my root is gone. I figure no big deal, ill just start over again and root it again and try the .214 again. But when i run the root option ( #2 ) it just sits there looking for the phone. USB debugging is connected, and its connected as a camera, not mass storage. What do i do???????

-install sqlite editor from play store.
-open and scroll down to settings storage, open the one with the hammer and the wrench.
- tap on settings.db then settings.
-go to line 79 entitlement check.
-on the right, long press on the "1", it will open "edit field." Change the 1 to 0.
-hit save.

Wah la, you now have hotspot!

What makes you think you are no longer rooted. You may actually still be rooted? Instead of .214 you should install the .215 leak but you have to install that on stock .211. It does not sound like you are. You can try running the 1.8 utility starting with option 1 which should put you to stock .211.

I think I screwed up

I was on 2.3.6 for my Razr Maxx. I don't know what I was thinking (brain fart big time) and I downloaded Razr Utility 1.81 and chose the first option to install ICS. Yes stupid I know but I really need help. I cannot remember the excact version of 2.3.6 I was on and have tried all Razr Utility 1.51, 1.6 and several versions with RSD Lite and cannot fix it. When I boot the phone I am stuck at the AP Fastboot Flash Mode (S) (Flash Failure) screen.

Any help is really appreciated

I want to root so bad but i dont clearly understand everything.. i need like a full walk through video of rooting it and doing the fast boot files and everything.. i have seen videos in rooting, installing the fast boot files and some recovery stuff. I dont know what order to do these in or even where to start. I know everybody will say just search but i have been and havent found anything that spells it out enough for me

Ok i was making sure that was tha right one before i bought it. Thanks so much for your help. I do think it was tha Windows XP giving me trouble cause when i did it on my gf PC with Windows 7 everything worked perfect. Got all boxes checked in Voodoo and protected root. Thanks again

I would say probably not because I would imagine the drivers won't work and the computer won't be able to see your phone.

Only one way to find out though, give it a shot.

nope, the drivers didn't install. I need to return my phone to VZW but it has the .215 leak. It's not rooted though. Can i send it in like that or is it highly recommend it that i revert back to .211?
