Interestingly enough, that's what's running on my phone and I got that update on Dec 23 when I first powered on my Droid at the Verizon store.

I have the exact same build but I did the manual 2.01 update and no prompt. Any luck with new features?

I believe this might be a part of 2.1, with the whole thing not being released just yet, this might just be sitting in the droid, waiting for the rest of it when it is released, so we can get it installed faster on actual patch day.

You aren't completely wrong here. It could be a needed patch for the 2.1 patch to work.

I got the update last night, updated and was able to click on the Facebook Update in the market and install it. Previously it would download and then come up with an error message saying it couldn't install. No noticeable differences.

I found elsewhere that somebody said you can now update the facebook app (from the market) after this update (I guess you couldn't do it before???). Other than that, no major differences, which I find amazing for a 60MB file. Did you notice browser lag after the 2.0 -> 2.0.1 update? If so, if there any change to that?

Confirmed on the Facebook. I was not able to get the Facebook from the Market to install before today's update. Installed and now asking for a ToS agreement and asking me to login. Apparently we can now get Facebook from the market.

Well if anyone her is familiar with the game World of Warcraft, what the company does, before sending out actual patches to the game, since they are usually close to about a GB, they sent out small parts of the patch, with parts of it that are already confirmed to go into the final version, therefore releasing the strain on the servers on the actual patch day where everyone would have to download everything at the same time.

Edit 2: Got another reply. I'm still the only one I know in my area to get the update. Not sure if it's location based.

Experience tells me that updates done OTA are entirely at random.

lol, this isn't even the real deal and everybody is already getting worked up. Can you imagine what it will be like when it really does hit?
