DROID Update turned phone into brick

If I could interject, isn't recovery X and power button, then Volume up and camera. Not that it matters now.
Yes, didn't I say that?

No, you said for him to boot into recovery by pressing the camera button and volume up, that is why he wasn't getting into recovery. I mean for most people when you say boot into recovery, that is a given, but I don't think he knew.
 
Without having access to the sdcard or not having the usb cable to flash the sbf....I'm not sure if there is anything that can be done

Following instruction.... screen shows

Andriod system recovery <2e>

selections allowed are:
- reboot system now
- apply sdcard:update.zip
- wipe data/factory reset
- wipe cache partition


bottom half screen has error message in yellow...
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/command
 
Yes you are there ...I'm very sorry for the lack of details...Wipe data/factory reset> wipe cache partition push the gold button on d-pad
after that is done select reboot system now..

never been here before,,,,, i see and can highlite 10 selections for "no" and 1 selection for "yes -- delete all user data"

Yes sir!
Have syncced with gmail.... am loading visual voice mail next .... and then will re-create my corporate exchange server configuration next.
