Droid X bootloader hacked?!?!

Yeah that's my site. Alias was crunched and stressed, so I took on PR for him. The mirrors should be up when I get home from school (midterms and a delay in the start just messed up the time, so when I get the tarball the mirrors will be up).

As discussed in the primary thread for this, this is really useful - when software is finally developed for it. This is the spring board, but now the ROM devs need to get working- between hardware (here's looking at you radio...) and actual ROMs to take advantage, this is cool but not end-user useful just yet.

Dont tell me your in high-school and was able to hijack the DX boot-loader something no one really has done this far........ I am in college and still would not be able to do it. Props bro.

Yeah, I'm in high school. 17 to be exact. Been programming pretty much since I could read. And dude if you can develop I really could use some help on the rest of the bootloader.

It uses the stock kernel as a bootloader. Also, I think that eFuse stuff is a load of bull. all of those components don't really have the proper intelligence to do all of the nasty things that people say they do.

so im trying to understand this if you dont think the efuse is legit was it all just hype on motorola's part and people were just afraid they were gonna fry their phone if they messed with it?

The efuse is legit, it just doesn't do what people fearmongered.

Yeah. There probably are efuses on the board, probably to blow when it overheats, not when we mess with it.
