I have *successfully* used kexec on a Droid months ago, just would lose video after executing the new kernel I loaded into memory. I wanted to give the droid x bootloader a go 'round with this method when I first learned of the "efuse"...just don't have one.

I've been using kexec for years on my personal servers, kernel level security updates with no hardware reboot.

Who's says I don't do all those things too? You should always toke heavily prior to coding.
