Droid x or iphone

Old thread resurrection ftw! Yea, I'll never have a phone that I cant change any any way shape or form.. Oh wait, you can change the background image. My bad.

Everyone is different but here is a true story. My wife used one of our upgrades for a Iphone 4. She states she always wanted aniphone. So as a husband sure go get whatmakes you happy. I played with it a lotbut just did not like it. I could not understand why some applications charge while the same applications were free on my droid x? One downer was navigation. You had to buy it in order to get sound (turn by turn voice) on iphone. The iphone would not let her use adobe flash and many other programs. After a few months she sold it on craigslist to someone she met at Verizon store 2 weeks ago and started using her droid she had before.

In all honesty I was very curious about iphone. After being able to experiment and compare the 2 I would not go for an iphone ever personally. The iphone had a few neat features but in the end I thought and she thought it was a disappointment. As the commercial states if you dont have an iphone you dont have an iphone and I am happy to not have an iphone. I told her she would regret it before the purchase but I guess she had to find out on her own. On a brighter note they are both good phones I just feel more freedom with droid versus iphone. Iphone has great marketing (commercials) and that’s about it imo. I have tons of music on my droid around 2000songs at the moment. Why do I need itunes or ipod? Droid can do the same things in my book. I have bought so much music since being a kid so I can just keep adding to my playlist or changeit. The battery life is great on mydroid no complaints about the phone. Gingerbread gave me trouble on first release but it’s all good now. I think it will be interesting to see from the articles I read about windows 9 (not 8 which is interesting). I could be wrong but I don’t think apple will continue to be dominant in the future. I look for droid and windows phone (future phone around windows 9) to be the winners but who knows we will see. Get what makes your son happy droid or apple.
