Droid X Update 2.3.340 (Not Gingerbread)

I pulled the update. Downloaded it. Hit install. Phone restarted right away. Screen showed it was unpacking files and installing update. Update bar got to halfway. Phone booted. Got message that update failed.
Tried this 3x. Rebooted. Now i get message that im up to date. Still on 2.3.15
Anyone have a solution for me?
Maybe I got it by mistake 1st time?

I have the same issue. DLed it twice and it failed to update twice. Added back the bloatware and unrooted it and now it says I'm up to date. Go figure.

I am very happy with the update. I tried my Hotmail again and the email from my phone/server deleted. That's what I needed.

How long ago did you purchase your phone?

I'm probably gonna be the last one to get it, just got my phone 2 months ago

There is a link on the prior page saying they stopped pushing the link for now. Go to page ten and check it out

2.3.340 Users who have installed it

I have read the Verizon pdf, but was wondering from anyone who has installed the newest update what it has fixed or improved over 2.3.15. I am currently running an Apex rom and really like it and was wondering if it is even worth the trouble.

Does it fix the battery manager issue, the camera focusing issue etc?

Thanks in advance. :greendroid:

So you can root the update?

Sent from XMGUY's Droid X.

Well yes infact, I just did it after I forced the update this morning. It unrooted me, but I just used z4root, it took a while, like a long time, but it rooted it again.

Anyone with .151 get the update, or able to make the zip file work? I tried doing the update from the zip and it fails. On 30.04 boot loader, brand new phone got yesterday.

Figured out why it failed...........you need all the old bloatware on. Make sure you name it correctly with the right capital letters. otherwise it won't recognize the file. downloaded the update from the link and it wouldn't update until I fixed and renamed all the bloatware I deleted. Mine were Cardock instead of CarDock, Newswidget instead of NewsWidget.

Just so you know the SBF is out on the TBH app
I couldn't get that one to work. It kept saying the zip file was corrupt and wouldn't extract.

I got this one from XDA. I am trying it now, I'll let you know.

ETA: Keeps saying Installation aborted, trying to figure it out.

ETA: apparently this will only work if you are stock. I am .320 so I have to try the TBH one again but it should work for you according to the good folks at xda.
