Liberty will still be making the jump to GB, despite any staff changes. Rumors and speculations about the quality of future rom updates should be left until product is in hand.

So I donated using the "donate" button in the current Liberty Toolbox (1.1) - do I have to donate ANOTHER five bucks to get the new version of Liberty Toolbox, or what?

Crap. :(

I donated so I could use the new Liberty Toolbox. I didn't realize I'd have to go through the market or I would have done that to begin with.

double crap.

The money I just donated is being locked down and held by PayPal. "Inquiry by PayPal," it says. What the eff is that?

If I'm on Gingerbread, I'll need to SBF back to froyo and then I'll be able to flash Liberty 2.0, right? Will I need a factory reset after getting back to froyo, or will only wiping cache suffice?

Correct. Need to boot into recovery and wipe data and cache after the sbf, otherwise it will bootloop you.

Thanks...Does it need to be stock recovery, or will bootstrap recovery work?

Have to be stock because cwm wont be installed yet (hold x then hit search on the screen with the droid for recovery)

Bueller...

Bueller...

Installed yesterday and running great. None of the random restarts and freezes I was getting with Ver. 1. Runs way way way better than the 2.3 ota leak.

I wish you could include the Blur email app. It works way better than the stock email app. The stock email app sucks rotten monkey balls. Or better yet the Gingerbread Blur email app. I'd say, with pinch zooming, it's even better than the Gmail app.

very quick question. i simply forgot...i got a new phone that has the 2.3.20 update. do i need to sbf back to 2.2.20 to run this rom?
i had this rom and many others stored as backups on my sd card. can i install one backup through clockwork over the 2.3.20 and have it revert back to how it was on my old phone?

With 1.5, my quadrant score was in the 1500's. With 2.0 scores are in the 1600's. Thank you liberty team!

Liberty ROM is designed to be run on 2.3.20 so no, you don't need to sbf back. As for your backups, I'd recommend that you don't run those and that you just start from scratch by flashing Liberty over 2.3.20 then restoring your apps with my backup root or titanium backup.
