[DROID2] Liberty ROM - v 2.0

It seems SOOO much faster than Liberty 1.5! And after an sbf a week or so ago, I realized how much faster 1.5 was than the stock ROM!

Amazing job guys! When I get some extra cash, I will DEFINITELY be donating!

In the new liberty 2.01 where do you place the bootanimation.zip to install it from within the new liberty toolbox? I am trying to install the honycomb bee boot animation.
Thanks

Put the bootanimation.zip in your sdcard root.

Open up your Android terminal and type this in the terminal window:

dd if=/sdcard/bootanimation.zip of=/data/local/bootanimation.zip

If you wish to revert back to the original, just delete the bootanimation.zip in /data/local. The original bootanimation.zip will still stay in the /system/media.

Anyone know a working fix for swype?

Sent from my super fast liberated D2.
Go to my theme thread for EpicBlue for the D2, I have a download there (in post 4) that is the Stock Swype, the issue is that the DX version of swype is [still] in the D2 zip.

Is this going to be fixed? Its not a huge deal but I like the themed version better. :D

Question (noobish)

If i download the donate toolbox on a stock non-rooted D2 will it still install successfully? I've been rooted and rom'd on my droid X for awhile now and I kinda forget what if anything needs to be done before i can install liberty.

I'm dl it right now. Could someone give me some instructions on how to install it? The same as 1.5 version?

I suggest downloading the toolbox for $5 off the market bc these guys put a lot of work into this and $5 is not gonna break the bank and also it will install the rom wipe and backup on its on much easier.....but it you just do the zip yes just like 1.5 make sure to wipe first even coming from 1.5

so if u get the donate app it will back up apps and their data?

Yes you should b doing that anyways in recovery it pretty much takes a pic of your hardrive so if anything does wrong you can boot into recovey and install the backup

You need to root the D2 first before you install the Liberty Toolbox onto it. Then you can download and install the Liberty 2.0 ROM. Make sure you back everything up before installing the new ROM.
