[ROM] Droid4HD For JB

Before I flash.. this uses all the same patches as eclipse correct? I was always more of a fan of the hybrid builds seeing as how I've always had moto devices.. So.. The only patches I should need to flash are the Google now and my OC of choice correct? Pretty sure I already know the answer is no, but can I flash this on top of eclipse without doing a data reset? Thought it a valid question since both are based off of .217..

Re: Droid4HD

sry been a bit busy prepping for the storm coming plus had to go to some personal stuff and fixing bugs lol... android makes support files and data for everything on the phone and eats up the battery for a while but after its done making these files it calms down and acts normal... its like indexing on a windows computer. bty i just made a couple revisions to both the hd roms doing minor bug fixes, updated the vendor folder and media folder so that all the sounds are proper and mc3 works correctly.... i loved bb back in the day its cuz he actually tested his own roms... like me lol.

Think I could flash right on top of the original version or should I clean wipe?

Stuck at activation screen

I do not have a SIM but the stock ROM allows me to click OK on the screen where it asks for a SIM. (6.16.217) this ROM and the deodexed stock rom both, however, only offers emergency call and power off options on this screen. Tapping the four corners on the welcome screen didn't seem to work. In build.prop I made keyguard.no_require_sim = false and added ro.setupwizard.enable_bypass=1 to the very end to no avail. The keyguard.no_require_sim = false gives me a lock screen from where apps can be started. I can install GoLauncher and adb shell am start -n com.gau.go.launcherex/com.jiubang.ggheart.apps.desks.diy.GoLauncher start it but the home button doesn't work.

if you're using myfishbear's overclock scripts, you can unzip them on your computer, and then edit the overclock script that's in

system/etc/init.d

for instance, the 1320ulv script is

system/etc/init.d/1320oculv

in that script you'll see lines like

echo 4 1320 1275 > /proc/cpu_control/tweak_cpu

the first number is the slot, the second the speed in Mhz, and the third the voltage. you can edit the voltage number, zip the files back up and reflash.

if you're comfortable using adb, you can use it to get a shell and just execute the 'echo' command directly with whatever voltage you like; saves several steps.

unpack a oc patch go into \system\etc\init.d make the edits in notepad++ and save it notepad will mess with the formating. rezip the whole package and flash it. sorry i cant reply much. i have no power and no gas and im sitting in my house hoping food wont run out. there was a riot at the gas station today... ppl are getting desperate. nj is in ruins. the police are now guarding the few working gas stations now and i just got robbed as well (i live near newark). its really bad out here.
