Dry Carbon Wrapped Moto Droid

That looks really nice. I might put some on my case too because I don't really want to mess up my phone if I screw up. How long did that take you?

It took me about two hours the first time, but I am a perfectionist. I have done a few now, so I am down to an hour or less.

I did mine too.

The corners are a PITA. I'm going to re do mine at some point. I need a stand for my heat gun so I can use both hands to hold and work on the phone. If I was going to wrap a snap on case, I would definitely clear coat it with acrylic to enhance the effect.

Skin

Why did you cut it all up into different pieces on the back?

-Mike
That's how the skins came. Its kinda sweet. I had a red one but the black looked better. I bought from ebay user: Metrorestyling. I really couldn't find much for the phone yet.

I'll bet it wouldn't go down smooth without leaving wrinkles etc because of the contoured surface

With some patience, steady hands, time, and a good heat gun you could get the back of that thing covered in one piece with no wrinkles.

I think it looks much better in 'panels' like that. Very Sci-Fi

Me too. I think the multiple pieces on the back give it a nice "inlaid" look.
