[ROM] Eclipse ICS for droid 4

I'm sitting on eclipse 1.2 right now and really don't want to totally set up my phone again after flashing 1.3.2. Can I just flash 1.3.2 over the top of 1.2 to keep all of my settings?

Thanks!

29 away from 3600!

Specs: 1380 OC/ULV, speedscript, hotplugx, and sio scheduler.

So why the SIO scheduler over noop? I feel like Quadrant is fun, but not really good enough for the kind of benchmarks we are using it for here, since I can re-run Quadrant, without changing my clock speed, and get wildly different results sometimes. Are there any other, maybe more precise tests we could be running to really figure out our cpu's speedspot between better performance while still having better battery life than stock would?

Also what changes have you made to patches recently. I notice there's a 3rd blur camera patch and also bugtogoremoval.zip whatever that does.

Right now I'm using 1100ulv + speedscript to see if there's any noticeable performance deficit as well as any battery benefit. Of course the bench score is low (2900) but I'm not noticing any sluggishness, and the battery is noticeably draining much slower.

I'm now on Eclipse 1.3.2, running the 1100ulv and speedscript... got a 2660 quadrant score (expected with the underclock). How significant are the battery savings? If it's something like 5%, then I'm going to try and switch to a faster script. However, nothing lags as of yet. It's day 1 for me, so I can't do too much testing/judging (due to indexing, etc).

Also - is there a way to switch to 3G yet? I want to leave it on 3G most of the day except when I'm specifically using the device for data, not just SMS/phone type use.

Yes, just install this and it will allow you to get into the hidden menu where you can set the phone to "CDMA (auto)" instead of "CDMA/3G/LTE" which will keep you on 3G data and not scan for LTE. The setting goes into effect immediately and does not require a reboot.

Thanks! But where is this hidden menu? I still only have Global, CDMA/LTE, and GSM/UMTS as my options under preferred network mode...

Edit - nevermind, it works. But I need to do this from the LTE On/Off app, not in system settings. Thanks!

As for the question about the scheduler, I was playing around with different combinations of kernels and schedulers and on this particular test I got that result. I agree with you that it's not the most accurate test, it's more of a challenge to keep running it over and over to see how high it can go.

As I said earlier I was underclocking and didn't notice any performance deficit even though the quadrant score was real low. I even ran the phone for a few hours not realizing that the max frequency was at 300 LOL.

What's your battery life like orange? So far I'm really liking Eclipse and can't wait for very good battery life

It really depends on how I use it but whenever I go to my sister-in-law's house I always need a charger but this time the battery lasted the whole day with moderate use. Other times I can be on the net for hours at a time and I need to charge it after several hours.

I got the best battery life out of 1.2.5b with 1320lv. I could go almost 2 days without a charge. I did get random freezes though.. it would freeze on average 3 times a day.. now I'm running 1.2.5c motohybrid with regular 1320oc and get about 14 hours moderate use in fair/poor 4g coverage. Really want to step up to the 1.3.2 version but don't feel like setting my phone up completely again..

Sent from my DROID4 using Eclipse 1.2.5c

Mine was reporting it was 4 15 but its really 915 here in washington.. dont know whats that all about.

Moved from 1.2.4 to 1.3.2 no issues except for above. Its definitely lightened up.

Good job Myfishbear.
