The standard version has most of the Blur and VZW bloat stripped out of it, while the hybrid keeps a lot of the 'important' bloatware in. By important, I mean the stuff a lot of people actually do use, such as VZW's hotspot, NFL Mobile, My Verizon, various widgets, Smart Actions, Motocast, and the social networking and email accounts.
Thanks Froyo!
Ok I got eclipse installed, at ulv 1320. And I flashed circle widgets. Is this the moto launcher? I don't suppose I could use circle widget with Nova Launcher?
Anyway. First thing I noticed was how fraking snappy it is! It's amazing! I can live without theme chooser and extra customization for how awesome this rom performs! I had to freeze the first messaging app after flashing circle widgets. I was getting messages twice and getting two different notification tones . Thanks so much for this Myfishbear!
So do we have any themers working on themes to flash? I'd like a black and white one like oreo slice for the droid 2. Any themes already available that I'm ignorant too?
Was using AOKP JB for the last month and came back to Eclipse, very happy I did, well until it crashed today and boot looped. After wiping everything and reinstalling I get an error message UID doesn't match, for a second or two and then the phone reboots. It's not overclocked and I'm using safestrap 3.05. Thanks for any help you can give me.
So, on mine, OC 1320 and 1380 make the phone very unstable, rebooting randomly all the time. OC 1400 and up do not work at all. The only thing that is stable is 1200ulv. I am fine with it for now, but everybody seems to be able to run higher than that and be stable. Anybody have any idea what's wrong?
Foxykat (supermod) said that at the factory they stress-test the processors that were designed to run at 1ghz. There are some that easily handled 1.2ghz and those were put in our phones as well as the Razr. So if your phone's processor can handle higher than that then you are one of the lucky few. Mine is fine at 1380. Sargntmjr (I think that's how his name is spelled) has his running at 1.6.
Bottom line is our phones can comfortably handle 1200, while some are lucky and it can handle more. Same with the lv and ulv.
Okay, I figured something like that. When I get the effort I might backup my rom, delete the partition, and redo everything while downloading fresh copies of the app and everything. I had Cyanogen on the same partition as what I have eclipse on now. I wiped everything like three times over, but as you say, it's best to delete the partition and start over. I'll try that and see if it takes the 1300+. If not, that's fine. 1200ulv is giving me amazing battery life at the moment. Thanks for all the help by the way! and thanks myfishbear for the great rom.
I switched back to Eclipse a few days ago. I had been running CM10 for about a month. It's nice to have auto correct and 100% working camera back. Battery life is way better than CM10 without any clock scripts flashed. Earlier today I flashed 1100ulv under clock and my battery life has gotten even better. I haven't had any issues underclocking. I haven't gone a full 24 hours yet with the under clock, but from what I can tell, battery life should be amazing.
I have an update on my battery life. At this time of day I usually have about 40% - 50% battery left. Right now I have 66% left. This is with 8 hours and 40 minutes on the battery. Battery life is amazing now.
Is there a way to wipe the info that is connected to my Google account that tells it which apps to download? Because I never use that, I always used TitaniumBackup. But if I am going to download them individually, i'd like to try and have a fresh list linked to my account. Since, there are a lot of apps I no longer use and that I'd rather not have lol
I finally got my droid 4 back from yesterday and its working fine now. Im so glad too because i couldn't stand the stratosphere any longer. I flashed eclipse 1.5.2 and the 1370 oc last night and its running great. After 11 hours and 10 mins i still have 52 percent battery life left
