[ROM] Eclipse v3.0 (6/5/12)

I'm a little confused. Why would it matter what version you're currently running when your going to flash a new rom?

Can't you just do a restore from a backup from CWM if it fails? All this .893 to 901 to 902 stuff seems silly...

My current backup are: 5.5.893 and 5.9.902. It would seem for me to go to 893 again would be to restore back to it from CWM... The same goes with flashing Eclipse 2.1, no? If it fails couldnt I just restore my 5.9.902 file? What would be the point in backing up if this can't be done??

so id like to install the eclipse rom.. so for me to set this up in need clockwork bootstrap and install the rom on my internal sd? also does the eclipse 2.1 work with OTA .902? or do i need to revert back to .893 then install eclipse. thanks

Eclipse rom 2.1 will run on 902. The radio and bootloader will be 902 based but the system will be 901.

Installed Eclipse v2.0 last week and love it. I have had no problems except for one app in the market place stating that it was not compatible with my device anymore but I am working to resolve that issue. The app is Jungle Jewels Deluxe if anyone has any ideas why this is happening. Great ROM

When you say run you mean a nanoid backup you cant flash 2.1 if your on 902 can you Im on a backup now dont think its a whole lot different is it?

3. now im on .901 and i have no data. only wifi. am i missing a step?

If you installed the rom from this thread it wont work for 901 If your on 901 go to above and install. You know 902 is the offical OTA now.

You need to update to atleast 5.9.901 to use v 2.1 I would fxz to 5.5.893 take the OTA to 5.9.902 then use djrbliss motofail to root

Well hopefully you have a backup from before you flashed 2.1. If so, restore to that backup, then take the 902 OTA, and go to eclipse 2.1 .... if not, you'll need to fxz back to 893 and OTA to 902, then reroot (check out bionic restorer for these) and then flash 2.1 eclipse. Hope this helps!

Just installed Eclipse 2.1 this afternoon my .902 rooted stock, and everything seems to be working just fine except that my Facebook contacts no longer have their pictures. Anyone else have this problem?
