Tapatalk is the greatest if you chat in forums alot then its worth it, if not its still worth it but i wouldnt buy it if you wont use it much, think of it as consolidating all forums into one app.

HEHE OK then. I formatted internal storage. It is now super clean and I am happy with it.

Now I am going to root, put Safestrap back on here and then put this Eclipse 3.0.1.2 ROM on my phone and hopefully be happy and not mess with it anymore

I have one more dumb question why I am here chatting up Davros's forum, I see a lot of you guys use Tapatalk 2 in order to do the forum thing, I looked it up and it costs $2.99, is it worth it?

I did some reading on it and once I get this ROM going I am going to buy it. I follow a lot of PC tech forums and a lot of gaming forums, and it is not much fun trying to follow them on the browser (although I do it all the time and it kills my eyes!)

in that case you will love Tapatalk! ECHO.,.,))) vote for DOTM and mark installed ON THE FIRST PAGE IF YOU LIKE ECLIPSE and wanna help support Davros for future releases and such! Trust me no other Dev has put the kind of time into fixing the issues the eclipse port had then Davros! We need him so lets show it people!

I have it installed and I really like it a lot. I will play with it for a day and then tomorrow I will give a full report on my thoughts on it.

I have 2 small gripes about it so far though:

1. I do not want Gmail app on there. I use K9 and much prefer it over the GMail app and the gmail will just sit and run in the background running the battery down.
2. Right "out of the box" there are a LOT of apps running....

Well isnt this fun, I am having the same issues with Wifi that I was having before I flashed this ROM.

Now I am at a loss and very sad. I can not live without Wifi

Ok somewhere u screwed something up. You may have to sbf and start from scratch and leave it alone, just root it and safstrap then move on to safe mode.

But first,

How many times did you wipe cache/factory reset and dalvik?

Very very important.

I need a details description of how u installed this

I have a motorola surfboard wireless that is only a couple months old, the newest style. It was working great before I started to screw with stuff but ya never know.

I was unable to download a 906, yje links are broken everywhere I try. So I had to install some odd thing I found that imitates 906 but installs 860 and then I had to upgrade,that is where I started having problems.

So here are the steps I performed during and after the discussion on here:
1. I formatted internal storage
2. Used Motofail to root the phone
3. Installed safestrap
4. Ran safestrap and installed
5. Restarted phone into safestrap manager
6. Used tool to put phone in safe mode...think its called
7. Installed rom
8. Restarted phone holding x to get into that odd screen.
9. Formatted the stuff there multiple times
10. Restarted phone into Ecplipse and set up the phone

Hope that helps. I don't remember the exact name of everything but I'm sure you will get the idea.

My wifi seems to be working ok now, I downloaded a bunch of the apps I use and am listening to Pandora right now. If the wifi fails again then Pandora will go into a permanent buffering...

Ok I can see where your problems are.

You need to go back to non safe mode and install the official 906 update. Then root that and carry on from there.


I have the update but not online, I think.

The links are mostly dead I see unless some one can help you out.

To install the 906 update, place the file on your internal sd making sure it is named update.zip. reboot holding x and choose the update from sdcard option and let it go, wipe cache and factory reset. Reboot, root with motofail, install safestrap and recovery, reboot into recovery ....

Wipe cache/factory rested a few time
Wipe dalivk (in advanced)
Flash rom
Reboot

Done


Lemme see if I have the update online.
