I bought the extended battery this morning. I can't get over how it's really NOT that much bigger than the regular battery. It's merely a slight difference. The battery came fully charged too.
I have the D2G and the car mount, which works great with the extended battery. Also works in the home docks from Motorola. I have one off brand home dock and it is very tight.
Well I got the battery and on weekends I'm ending the day with about 20% with heavy/medium use and on weekdays (I'm at school most of day and it is constantly searching fire a signle I end with about 40% (i keep 3g off at school). I'm very satisfied my only problem is I can't get the battery door off...
Ps. Sorry for misspellings I'm still learning swype.

My experience show switching data off on D2G reflects in more than doubling the batterly life. I was doing some testing with mine last week - on 3G only with data turned off, phone lasted full two days on a single charge (48+ hours). Switching to 2G makes it last even longer - extra 6-8 hours or so. That with WiFi on 100% of the time! Turn WiFi off and I bet 36 hours are achievable.
Not if you use the phone Screen is the biggest battery hog - worse than 3G and data. Above tests were performed with minimal screen use (<30 minutes).
I took my battery door off once with the extended battery. Had to put the phone flat on a table and then press hard and slide the door down. It finally moved, but was very tight. Might want to put a cloth on the desk and then the phone.
Seriously guys, I've had 2 stock batteries with 2 different battery doors, AND 2 extended batteries with 2 different doors, and never had an issue taking them off. In fact, the other night, I pushed too hard while using my finger nails and caught one of those tiny metal fingers that are on the phone where the sd card goes in, and shoved it all the way under my fingernail. Thankfully, I bent it back in place, and no harm done to the phone.. My finger still smarts though haha.
I got the extended battery for my droid2, and I have to say I love it. On average I get about 3 or so extra hours of battery life. I use my phone pretty heavily and my battery lasts me all day. It adds a bit of weight to the phone, but personally I like that. Light phones just feel cheap to me. I would highly recomend getting an extended battery.
If you are looking for the Extended Battery Door for the Droid Charge, its backordered pretty much everywhere. I did find one Amazon Marketplace seller offering them for 3.99 each, they have 7 left as of this post. I just ordered two, why not its still less than the price of 1 at Verizon, when they get them in.
