To fix this problem...... "An error occurred while fetching data.[null]"
I was having the same issue on my Incredible...
To fix this issue go to your web browser on your phone and log into your facebook account. Scroll to the bottom and it will have a highlighted link that reads something like "Download Facebook app for your Incredible", only it will list your model instead of mine, click on that. This will bring up the facebook app already on your phone and it will say Update. click Update and click Ok. It will take a couple minutes but soon the update will be complete. You can now use your Facebook app on your phone without having to see that dumb error message again. Depending on what phone you have the Facebook app homepage may change slightly.
I assume the reason you have to do this is that the Facebook app that originally comes with your phone is a "general Facebook app" used for all types of Droid/Android and so you have to specifically update the app to accomodate your specific model.
