[Feature Requests] For version after 1.5

The one feature that I would LOVE to have, is for the locksreen music player controls to work with podcast players like Listen and Doggcatcher. Probably 90% of what I listen to on my DX is Podcasts.
Currently every ROM that I am aware of that uses music player controls on the lockscreen (from CM to Liberty), does not allow them to work with podcast players. So every time I go to do something with my podcast player I have to go right by the music controls on the lock screeen, get to my podcast player and then pause it, or fast forward. It sure would be nice if I could control all that from the lockscreen.

Isn't this a concern for the podcast app? If they subscribe to standard Android APIs, won't the lock screen music controls work for it, just like a BlueTooth stereo would?

Lockscreen gestures!

Interesting idea. What sort of things should these gestures do? Open apps? Control apps (like music controls)? I'd like to hear more.

haha, lockscreen gestures are the #1 thing I miss from Cyanogenmod on my droid 1.

In cyanogenmod you can build your own lockscreen gestures, and set a command for it. For example, on my lockscreen i would draw a V, and then google voice would open up. Or I would draw an O, and then opera mini opened up. If I swiped from right to left, my contacts app would open up.

This way you can have a clean lockscreen and have it still be extremely functional.

Its especially useful because you can turn on your phone , put in a gesture, and be in the app you want without even having to look at your screen.dancedroiddancedroid

I would like to see more Gingerbread in it....launcher, app drawer, and so on. But that is just me.

Wow. That sounds amazing. Huge +1 for that.

+1 LOCKSCREEN GESTURES

HUGE time saver to launch calls, texts, and apps. Just still doesn't seem right that I could use them on my D1 and not on my X.

Maybe there is a difference in the build of podcast apps vs music apps that is the issue. My DX recognizes that sound is playing (while playing a podcast) because when I turn my screen on the music controls are on the lockscreen. But if I push the play/pause button the music player starts playing music over the podcast (very annoying). Maybe there is a box somewhere in settings that I could check that would allign Doggcather with the music controls. Anyone have a suggestion, or am I out of luck because of the difference in the builds of music players and podcasters?

i would love an option to have the dx eye as an download in the liberty toolbox the one from xda has a problem with beautiful widgets it is constantly blacking out when the system bogs down. its only thing i miss from blur now thanks to 1.5

Pulldown powerwidget

A Pulldown powerwidget

I'm sure people would like to see the galaxy s scrollable version
but I'd be good with one that just has 5 slots and the ability to
pick the buttons that hold those spots.

This is great for led-flashlight, and wifi, bluetooth.
No more taking up room on the homescreen for toggle widgets.

Thanks for everything this rom rules!

I'd like to see the Icon Picker option in the Liberty Toolbox be able to change the icons for ALL the app drawer apps.

super happy kejar fixed the custom ringtones thing....
thanks,

FYI, you can do this today with Widgetsoid. However, I think they're working hard to have this done natively.

One of my biggest uses and shortcomings of the phone is in regards to music, which I have a few ideas/suggestions about:

-Easiest fix: Add music titles back to lockscreen and make the click boxes for the music controls bigger, they are tough to hit precisely.

-Add lockscreen gestures for forward/backwards, makes use in the car 100x easier. I used PowerAMP for a while but didn't love how it ran and stopped using it.

-Physical buttons: I don't think this hasn't been figured out yet and may not be possible, but possibly pressing the camera button to pause and long-holding to skip?

Just 3 features

1) Notification bar power settings

2) Lockscreen gestures

3) The feature in the stock OTA. As you are dialing a number, the contact shows up
