Female droid users - are there any here?

i dont see anything masculine about the droid so i dont get it. :icon_eek: (well except maybe the ugly icon they use to portray it) usually when i picture a guy with a phone they have the cheap flip ones because most of em can barely figure out how to even dial a number lol. to me the droid was made for women because we're smarter;) :D

I'm a girl, love my Droid. Any phone can be bling'd. I'm not worried about it being masculine. I bought the pink/purple hard cover for it, but only used it until I got my dock the following week. Plus, Hello Kitty is my wallpaper (totally waiting on the bling'd Hello Kitty cover to come out). I'm also new to smart phones and I love my GPS and Pandora, especially after I bought the aux plug tonight and listened to Christmas music while Christmas shopping. I have the coolest phone on the block! ;)

I'm female. I bought a Droid on the 'new every two' plan to replace my Blackbery Pearl. My primary consideration in upgrading my phone was a decent physical keyboard. The Droid has one and that's what got my attention. The rest of the Droid features and functions are what closed the deal. Not the marketing campaign, not the appearance of the device, and not any concern about gender bias.

The 'princess vs. robot' advertising does not offend me. It didn't occur to me that the ad was insulting women. Preferring form over function is a trait sadly exhibited by both sexes. And I thought the ad reflected that with humor.

I know who Olivaw is. I have a cat named Mycroft. And my dog certainly will not fit in a teacup (he's a 150# Great Dane). And, oh cripes, I like cheetos, too. Is "sci-fi geek" a unisex term?

I HOPE that sci fi geek is a unisex term!! LOL

My dogs would CRUSH a teacup, too, by the way

I think the OP just wanted a date ;) ... Just kidding OP!

-Woulda been genius if that was my plan...based on the women who responded...including that lovely Ci fy punk dj.

Another woman here. I had the "girly" BB Curve in purple and I learned that function is so much more important. And, honestly, I don't see anything "masculine" about the Droid.

Another geeky female here loving my Droid. Aside from a Palm with ATT phone capabilities that I didn't use because I already had a Verizon cell phone, this is my first smart phone. I had some iPhone envy for awhile based on the functionality, not the looks, but wasn't willing to drop Verizon.

I love that it feels so solid and really would have been lost on functionality without this forum, with the included and online "official" documentation being a bit thin.

I figure if I really want it to look more feminine, I'll buy a girly cover, or set a girly wallpaper!

I was at a Christmas party yesterday with someone who had a new Blackberry, and her husband had set her theme to our favorite college team theme. I might consider that down the road, but so far, I haven't actually downloaded any paid apps.

Anyway, more than you wanted to know, LOL

I'm a female Droid user, and I LOVE my Droid, was going to get the iPhone, but didn't want to go to Atnt for it, then I saw the Droid, and now even if Verizon gets the iphone, I'm sticking with my Droid, I'm not the typical woman, to be fair, i'm a computer forensic agent, and all around geek. Not in any way typical. Tech savvy is sexy, but that's just my opinion...

I'm lovin' this thread! Wow... what a great read!

Now, having said that, let me assure you, that I am all woman (all 45 years of me), and I love my Droid, so much so that I bought one for my teenage daughter, and we have to work hard to keep it away from my two year old (who loves the ABC's and Colors apps, oh, and the Animal Sounds app, and ---).

Well, I actually expressed my undying love for my Droid, here, just the other day, in a thread called, "Considering a Droid for the holidays?"

lulz
better be careful...dodging flying phones is harder than one would think ;)

This is unforunately 100% accurate. Flying Droids are very very hard to dodge, and they hurt like heck.

Another female here, posting from my Droid. Canceled my TMobile for this baby! I'm an Android junkie =) It also helps I work in a VZW store and won the phone whoot.
