Flash Player not getting along with UD 8.0

One thing I've tried was disabling stagefright and it still had the same issues streaming radio...

Sorry I don't have an input on a fix but I was wondering what's the difference between those stations and iheart radio? I've never tried streaming through flashplayer

iheartradio only has ClearChannel stations IIR... so any local radio stations that stream live via internet from their website would be thru flash...

ty for clarifying... the local channels that i tried i got off iheartradio so i wasn't sure the difference

IT IS THE DISABLE ADS FEATURE CAUSING FLASH ISSUES ! !
I had the same problem on cytikmod rom when i installed a block ads app , had to reflash to correct.
NOW same issue with Ultimate Droid.
Problem is the block ads app is built into Ultimate Droid under settings/quick commands/ enable disable/ show all ads.
Would be great if worked but it wont process SHOW ALL ADS , it just hangs and acts like processing. gonna try reflashing AGAIN , but looks like im going back to cytickmod  wish it worked cause i love all the features on this build, but lets face it FLASH must work, i only waited almost a whole year for this one feature.... PLEASE FIX BLACKDROID ! ! ! !

I had/have this exact same problem, and with the same ROMs - SS 4.7 and this one. Don't have the problem on stock FRG22D.

This is weird, I haven't had any issues with flash at all with this rom. I was even watching a live stream of hbo today for over an hour and didn't notice any issues or syncing audio problems. It didn't even slow to buffer or anything, just streamed straight on through with no problems

Well, the only way I've tested this for consistency is going to m.flash.com, then loading up cnet.tv - that's always done this slo-mo voice thing on UD 8 and SS 4.7.

Yep... did the exact same thing on the same cnet.tv vid on m.flash.com site... definitely a bug.
Orb streams my TVtuner card perfectly via flash though, so probably not a concern for me currently since I can get FM thru that tuner card as well...

Directly from HBO website? ....

EDIT:
I did get proper vid streaming from the HBO site...although it said that my device didn't support flash and directed me to their mobile site... which then promptly streamed the video I wanted to watch...

So it looks like a hit or miss deal with flash on UDv8.0 ... whether it is associated with Stagefright or Block All Ads... I'm sure Blackdroid will make a patch to correct it...

I used this website to watch a live stream of hbo

Channels

Its on the second page

I've reloaded UDv7.0 and every site that had issues with flash on UDv8.0 works perfectly fine ...... and UDv7.0 has Stagefright enabled and has the hostsblock command like UDv8.0 has, so I don't think it's that.

I'm thinking it's associated with the FRG22D ROM, and maybe that's what Blackdroid was referring to when he mentioned that Google implemented a stagefright fix on FRG22D??..and that Adobe had to fix things on their end?

Pure specualtion on my part, but I am currently back on UDv7.0 for the time being...

Well I just installed CM 6.0 stable, same Flash Player issue (imagine that!)...

So, back to UD 7.0 until all of these devs get this issue resolved with Flash or Stagefright or what/whoever...

In any defense, I had CM6 installed for a couple weeks, maybe longer, until BD came back here, I had no problems with Flash with CM6

I think that you didn't read thru the full thread to see that this issue is only with certain flash content and not all flash. Most of the flash works right....just some has the slow slurring audio issue.

I'm starting to think that is is relatedx to FRG22D......is CM6 built from FRG22D as well?

I think it is (not 100% sure), same options on CM6 as UD8 such as a new pop-up screen when you hit "Reboot" showing "Reboot", "Reboot to Recovery" and "Bootloader"; didn't get a chance to see the system/build description before uninstalling CM6 and reinstalling UD7.
