Flash Player not getting along with UD 8.0

So has anyone seen or heard anything from the UD dev on whether or not this issue is within his control to fix, or has this Flash problem basically been Spock'd?

In any defense, I had CM6 installed for a couple weeks, maybe longer, until BD came back here, I had no problems with Flash with CM6
I think that you didn't read thru the full thread to see that this issue is only with certain flash content and not all flash. Most of the flash works right....just some has the slow slurring audio issue.

I'm starting to think that is is relatedx to FRG22D......is CM6 built from FRG22D as well?

I think it is (not 100% sure), same options on CM6 as UD8 such as a new pop-up screen when you hit "Reboot" showing "Reboot", "Reboot to Recovery" and "Bootloader"; didn't get a chance to see the system/build description before uninstalling CM6 and reinstalling UD7.

I havent forgot about the this at all, just preparing a permanent fix

OK thanks so much for getting back; as you can see there are a lot of us concerned about it, and have even reverted back to UD 7.0 to get Flash back working properly...

Thanks again!

I knew you'd eventually fix it Bro..... just an FYI, Liquid Froyo 1.6, which is also built from FRG22D, does not have this issue.....just prefer UD ROMs though, but something he didn't add..or did add...is not causing the same issue.

IT IS THE DISABLE ADS FEATURE CAUSING FLASH ISSUES ! !
I had the same problem on cytikmod rom when i installed a block ads app , had to reflash to correct.
NOW same issue with Ultimate Droid.
Problem is the block ads app is built into Ultimate Droid under settings/quick commands/ enable disable/ show all ads.
Would be great if worked but it wont process SHOW ALL ADS , it just hangs and acts like processing. gonna try reflashing AGAIN , but looks like im going back to cytickmod  wish it worked cause i love all the features on this build, but lets face it FLASH must work, i only waited almost a whole year for this one feature.... PLEASE FIX BLACKDROID ! ! ! !

I think this guy might be on to something...just loaded up LFY1.6 (FRG22D based), noticed there are ads on the Flash Player unit when you "play" a radio station from a website, and there is no audio slurring with Flash. This LFY ROM and the slayher kernel that I got with it is pretty darn zippy, but not as customizable as UD, so I'll be going back to UD7.0.

BD, still no fix? Don't know how extensive the fix is, but since you communicate with liquid0624, and LFY doesn't have the Flash problem, maybe he can help you out?

I don't seem to have many problems with this anymore. Not sure how it fixed itself, maybe the Flash update? But I still cannot view some youtube and facebook videos.

Add Sapphire 1.1.1 to the list...just loaded it up (after multiple wipes of course) and it is having the same problem. LFY1.6 still seems to be the only recently released ROM that doesn't have this problem. Back to UD7.0...

I came from Liquid's 1.6 and as I recall he had a "stagefright fix" included in the changelog. Whatever he did from 1.5 to 1.6 seems to have helped. Maybe collaboration between BD and Liquid can help...Either way, I'm sure these guys will get it figured out.

I have released a patch to fix this issue for ShadowRom. Its not a stagefright on/off issue at all.

;)
Hmmm... worth checking what you mean...thanks...:)

Yep.... that was it Billy...thanks for that...what you changed also works on UD8 as well, I've already verified it... I will be PM'ing BlackDroid with the files and he'll probably be contacting you about using your fix...

thanks again Bro.... Just wanted to give you the Credit that's due...

I'd also like to inform all of the UDv6 users 'NOT' to be flashing Billy's Shadow Rom patch onto their mUDv8...doubt it'd take and it'll more than assuredly put you in a boot loop...

Just wait for Blackdroid to put out his own patch for this...

Question (Dwight Shrute style!), how were you able to verify that the patch works for UD8, if applying the ShadowROM patch over UD8 causes bootloop?
