FoxKat's Razr/Maxx Jelly Bean Leak Classroom W/MattyP & Friends

There are a lot of little things that you need to do and if not done, you may have problems. Go through the following to double check that these were done and it should solve your problem.

*make sure you have the latest Motorola drivers installed on your pc.
*make sure your phone is set to usb debugging mode (menu>system setting>developer options).
*In settings, go to “Security" and check “Unknown sources."

Don't forget to make sure your phone is charged to at least 50% (preferably 100%).

Also, not sure which method you may be using but I have good luck with Matt's 1.82 utility, found here....

Droid Razr Utility 1.82 [Windows] For Verizon Droid Razr And Droid Razr Maxx Only - DroidRzr.com
*Extract that utility to its own folder on your computer.
*Power your phone off. Then power your phone on while holding down your power, the volume up and volume down buttons simultaneously.
*Connect your phone to your computer with the factory supplied usb cable.
*On your phone select AP Fastboot, then in the utility select option 1..."restore phone to stock .211. Do not unplug the usb cable until the utility finishes.

I installed the drivers again and I guess there was a problem with the original installation of the drivers because I ran it again and it worked like a charm. Thanks for the help.

Thanks!

Update instructions worked great! I don't mind losing the root, but I'm glad the instructions for that are there, too. I figured I would play with stock for a while before rooting again. Thanks again!

Super! Always a great feeling when there's success!

Shoot...after reading some of the comments on that DroidLife post I'm less excited about the update...(may not include quick settings or other goodies I want)

Awesome...can you tell me what's added/changed?
Thanks:)

Not much that I can tell besides a lot of moto bloat removed, i have the razr maxx HD home screen installed for the circles app and it doesn't seem to lag as much, so maybe a bit of performance increase. Could just be my phone settling into JB though.

Good to know...thanks :)

a few of the things i have seen changed are the status bar lock screen and a few of the apps have disappeared or changed names. oh and battery life seems to be worse, but maybe because its my day off and i have been using it and actually paying attention to the battery life.

So is there a way to update from the Christmas leak to the official ota? Do I have to wait they push the update to me?

I also decided to wait for the "official OTA" and I am still on .215 If JB isn't pushed by end of Q1 I will probably manually flash the update. I am quite confident that JB will be the last update the the Razr Maxx receives so I want to make sure it is very stable.

I think I'll do the same, because there's no going back from jb
