Froyo Release Thread

Hey guys at the end of the restore/installation of 2.2 using Clockworks I get an error saying:

No app2sd patition found. Skipping format of /sd-ext
e:can't mount /dev/block/mmcb1k0p2
(no such file or directory)
Can't mount /sd-ext/!


I wonder if this could be the reason why my phone is running really slow using 2.2?
Any thoughts?

shouldn't matter... clockwork is just skipping that partition b/c it doesn't exist

Although its nice to see 2.2 it seems rather sloppily put together, no su apk, flash not working for everryone, wifi taken out to protect a source.... It just seems hastey, like the devs coulda taken a couple hours or days to iron out all this.

I'm sick and tired of people like you. You don't know jack **** about what is going on, yet you reap the rewards of others hard work. How about a thank you, or just shut up. You have no idea about how much time has been spent on this. So until you do something for the communtiy, besides talk ****, i suggest you just say thank you.

I believe that before 6am this morning you were running some version of 2.1 made by someone else. Quit being ungrateful, and be happy. TOOL.

Anyone else having problems going into clockwork mod to restore a backup? It won't let me in.

if you mounted the file system and copied the files over while in clockwork, you may need to reboot your phone before it sees the directory.

I'll keep messing around. I've reboot about 5 times. It tries to but the M flashes and restarts the boot process. Worst case scenerio I have ADB.

cool, got titanium backup installed only to realize i didnt have that awesome little super user permissions on my home menu and i just kinda am sitting here now good times. thanks for the updates and all that... p3 and ya'll are the best

Yea I lost root too. The benchmark tests are nice...... With Quadrant on 2. it always slowed down at 11/12 on the CPU part. on 2.2, all the test flew by and I got a higher score.....

So I see the speed increase. I just reran it and got an even higher score....wow. (first one was 818, 2nd one was 939) I need root tho. I barely use Wifi so thats not an issue for me. I'm about to try getting root back.

When I used SP Recovery, it said Unpacking image and Done...but it didnt restore anything.

Thanks for that P3..listen guys..P3 didnt have to stick his neck out for the community. He would have been happy just having Froyo himself. Lets show some gratitude and be humble!!!!

Mine was slow until it completely finished syncing.

Agreed. Gotta wait for sync to complete. Then it speeds up for sure.
