Also, I'm confused about the benchmarks people are saying they're getting.

That's 14mflops with 1.3Ghz on non-Froyo JIT. This is getting 12.5mflops on stock or 800mhz? What would you get with Froyo at 1.3ghz?

Do you have to have this version of froyo installed to have the Flash 10.1? If not can anyone post the .apk for the 2.2 browser then flash should be allowed to be installed.

Was initially really angry that wifi wasn't working, but I understand now.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone that made this happen... its running great for me and I can't wait to see it progress even further I'm sure they will figure out a way for us to have wifi soon, so I'm sure I can survive with 3g for a little while

That being said, I wanted to thank everyone involved for their hard work and their brilliance. The things you guys can do amazes me and I am very thankful that we as a community have generous unselfish intelligent people who are willing to do the work for those of us who lack the know how to do it ourselves. After being in these forums for a little while now and seeing how some people treat the developers, sometimes I wonder why they still continue to do it. But I am thankful that they do.

Great work, I'll be checking out Froyo when I get back to my laptop later today.

I must be missing something looks like superuser is not installed/activated /
Did a full wipe (2x) and cache wipe/ used spr recovery / all went well all apps restotred automatically (nice...) getting 818 on quadrant/ cannot activate setcpu or run terminal as su... help...

edit> also could not install flash / tried:
1. renaming zip to apk (n/g)
2. unzipping .zip file to folder / copied to /sdcard/downloads
ng (no apk) // wazzup?

Download zip file and than extract it

Miami, I could have been more tactful I guess and I'm definitely thankful for the work. My point was that the release could have been coordinated better and more completely... besides that this is awesome. Good work all.

Hmm...well i think i could possibly reactivate it my self....but dont want to have to go back to the guy and have him flash it to pocket communications again...tho he said he would do it for free lol.. Is there anyway of saving what has been done to my phone settings ...so I can install this new rom...I think he said as long as I dont mess with the kernel ..that all should be fine....but he said to be careful..I dont wanna have to make the long drive again lol...thanks for the replys guys

I think it was said in other threads that Froyo needs to be installed for flash to work.

Flash is a plugin for the 2.2 browser which, I think, only works with 2.2.

So yes, you have to have froyo.
