I'm likely asking the same question that's already appeared in this thread, since I see a number of people complaining about CW as opposed to SPR...
I wiped data and cache and used CW to install Froyo, and immediately it went about downloading my apps on my behalf. It got most of them, I reboot, and they run and all... but it is SLOW. Sluggish. Much slower than Stock 2.1 for me. Like, I tap the menu button and it takes literally 3 seconds to appear.
Additionally I then tried to restore my apps and data using Titanium Manager, but it kept giving me "There was a problem parsing the package." If I install an app manually and then just restore the data with TI Manager, then the app Force Closes on every attempt to open it.
Is this just with the CW installation? Would SP Recovery would better?
