Galaxy Note 2 waiting Lounge

You are the first person I have seen mention the case from the Verizon store. The local V store is out and they are also out of stock online. Does that happen to come with a belt clip? My wife has a similar looking case from Verizon for her iPhone and it comes with a belt clip... Hard to tell from the pictures.

When I got the Note 2, I asked what cases they had. The only case that Verizon carried was the one that you mentioned. It does not come with a holster, unlike all of the other cases that are made for other model phones. The only ones that I am aware of that comes with a belt clip/holster is the Seidio Active and Surface, the Otterbox (although they aren't available yet), and the Boxwave (that isn't available yet for another week or so).

I think we can order the defender straight from otterbox.Com currently. I however am waiting for the commuter,I dunno why they're dragging the feet so hard on that commuter.

Just waiting to purchase. Ca dany one tell me how the radios (modems) are? Not signal strength but how does it hold on to 4G I have a S3 and my only beef with the phone is sometimes I no I am in a 4G area and the phone is showing 3G. Can anybody confirm the Note is better or at least as good as? Thanks

Radios are solid. My house is a fringe 4g area and I get better reception than my Bionic. I also travel to and from Philadelphia some days through a non reception spot and it picks up much better than my Bionic.

I have the same issue with the Galaxy Nexus and the Note 2. The difference is it doesn't seem quite as bad with Note, and it doesn't bother me as much with Note because I don't use the 4G a lot and the battery can take it. Hunting for 4G was painful on a phone that already had poor battery life. The Note 2 is an awesome phone.

I have a note 2 and 2 S3 and a razor maxx. My note 2 is by far the best when it comes to holding 4g signal. I live in a area that has a lot of little towns right next to each other. Some of those towns have 4g and others have 3g. One thing that I have noticed is that when we are in one of the towns that have 3g my note 2 will still show 4g. The problem with it is is that it is only one bar so the internet is really slow. I fixed that problem by down loading network speed which would switch my phone to pick up the 3g signal.

First really negative review I've seen:

Wired review
Bigger, But Not Better

Rating: 5/10

Review: Samsung Galaxy Note II Smartphone

Reading the article, it sounds like the only real issue they have with the phone is the size. And they clearly note that they had slammed the original Note for its size and look how well that sold. Admittedly, when I first saw the Note 1, I was taken aback by the size and never thought I could carry a phone that size. This was back when we were all carrying phones with 4 inch screens. As the phones got incrementally larger, the size differential is not nearly as glaring. If you compare the Note 2 and the S3 side by side, the Note 2 is not really that much bigger.

Some of the remarks are funny.. Y'all should read them in that review article..

I do agree with this part of his review

" There are likely a few million people out there who’d disagree with me."

《Take Note2 BK's here..》

Very interesting. He was so obsessed with the size (his only negative), that he spent barely any time on other things that truly matter. Sometimes, it's the negative reviews that actually end up being positive... anyone considering getting it already is very aware of the size. When they read the review, they're left thinking, “oh, that's the best they can come up with for what's wrong. It must be a great phone."

No , as a matter of fact it is MUCH better than any other phone I've ever had or played with and it really isn't close. As for the size I'm already completely used to it and when I use my wife's Droid it now seems ridiculously tiny to me.
I agree-I know its only been a week or so that I have had this phone but it is, BY FAR, the best phone I have ever owned. A friend of mine was busting my chops yesterday that in 6 months I will want something new since I change phones so frequently. I can't see myself wanting another phone for a while (I think!).

I told my wife last night that I might keep this phone for at least a year. She looked at me and laughed and said yeah right I give you two months until you order your next phone. She might be right but as of right now I have not even heard of a phone that is coming out next year that could make me want to give up my note 2

Hi all,

So I came back to this thread after a while and happy to see it's still active.

What struck me funny is how us Verizon customers were so completely crazy only a week and a half ago with checking 20 forums per day, believing delivery date hoaxes, etc. And now we're all like, "Ahhhhh".

Funny how priorities are!!
