Yah, my grandma is on my plan along with 2 other family members. She has a 9.99/mo line with a little dumbphone. I upgraded it for 2 yrs and got the galaxy note 2 and 2gb/mo data. When the phone finally gets here (probably another 6 mo from now) I will activate in on her line, then reactivate it on mine, and then reactivate her little samsung dumbphone and I get a subsidized GN2 and unlimited data all for $330.

the wait should have at least one good aspect. It should ensure that we get the updated software that fixes the issue with the multi/split window tasking that the UK has experienced.

I wouldnt be to sure about that as i believe after we get our delayed phone we will have to wait even longer for what i believe will be a delayed update but lets hope im wrong cause it would be nice to have it come out of the box or a download as soon as activation happens. Again this is Verizon tho so i doubt it.

Verizon on top of a software update? You obviously must be a new customer. Google "Galaxy Nexus Jelly Bean" when you get a chance. Heck, google some other verizon phone launches. The company's history is pathetic. The note 2 is just another dash in a very long time line of botched product launches.

Yes the fix will probably be out and known but will have to wait to get out on Verizon lol

a developer on the xda forums seems to have a VZ GN2 that they are digging into. It appears they are working on getting around the locked bootloader.
this is a post regarding multiwindow/tasking potentially on the VZ version.

"This rom has multiwindow.jar and multiwindow.odex files inside /system/framework. If I'm not wrong those files were not present on XXALIE roms, so it could have multiwindow working...

Anyone want to try it and make a port for the SGS3? xD "

Verizon requires you to get a Verizon stamp on your forehead when you buy the Note 2 too keep their logos and image in step.

All of these work on the current Sprint version with the exception of multi windows for more than one app...
