You got it..but you may have to manually re-install your market apps.Seems to me i had to which wasn't a big deal for me.Do a full wipe.

Slayher, been running smooth all day now. Are you going to theme the news and weather/music widget to match the power control widget or the other way around. Everything else looks great btw, I especially like the dialer and the in call screens, very nice! Compcache seems to be running smooth so far. Are you going to get this on ROM manager?

Glad to hear that. The genie app is part of the gapps, I believe, but I can look into it.

can someone PLEAASE tell me where i can find the market icon? i have gtalk,maps,facebook,google goggles, just cant find the market icon?

Check in /system/apps to see if it's there.It may not have gotten installed for some reason.

Were you looking for Vending.apk? That is the actual name. 2nd, from either Rom Manager or the terminal, try running fix_permissions

I've run 5.0.7 test0 and test1, and in both roms, video capture doesn't work...force close as soon as I stop recording, and the file is corrupted.

Does video recording work for anyone who's tried this themed rom?

I had this issue but after I was done rec it would just crash and reboot...also I still couldn't get my market icon back...so I just went back to 5.0.6.2 ...I'm going to do a full wipe and see if this corrects everything.....I really want this rom/theme to work right cause it is bad ass!

Installed this last night. Installed over 5.0.6.2 with no wiping at all and it went perfectly. I still have all my apps and Market app is there as well. Only issue so far is the known .7 video recording bug (app force closes when stop is pressed). Its a very nice theme with a lot of attention to the details and its over a cyan ROM so you know the ROM is good! Nice work

What is Compcache?

Compcache (compressed caching) provides the ability to use part of the RAM as compressed swap. In other words, you can take a portion of your RAM (default 25%) and use it as swap, compressing the data before moving it into swap, and decompressing it when moving it out of swap. This is a classic time-space trade-off. You effectively get more memory, but some of it is slower than normal RAM due to the CPU time required to compress and decompress the swapped pages.

for video recording problems just download "Qik" video recorder from the market and make a free acount and set settings how you want. when you use it, just open it from your apps. not by going into camera and switching to video.

There is a way around the forclose issue with video recording....it involves making changes in the build prop file: changing h264 to m4V in one of the lines...once I get back home I can post here...its around somewhere.

i've seen that but never tried it. i just saw someone said it made it so it recorded sound but you couldnt see the video. idk though i havent tried. did you?

Appdrawer --> spare parts --> compcache enabled checkbox.

How to see if it is working...

Open a terminal window
type "su" and hit enter
and run "compcache stats" and hit enter.

It seems to me that when I was reading the Cyanogenmod 5.0.7 changelog, the video recorder bug was a documented issue. So I believe the problem lies in the actual Cyanogenmod source, and not this ROM specifically.

ro.media.enc.hprof.vid.fps=25 changes to... (not required)
ro.media.enc.hprof.vid.fps=30

ro.media.enc.hprof.vid.bps=3000000 changes to... (not required, bitrate change)
ro.media.enc.hprof.vid.bps=8000000

Be careful of what you change.

When I was running the test 0 did try it and had no problem with it.
