Genesis Version 1 (Overlay themed CM ROM)

How can I change this? I see it in Root Explorer but don't know how to access it. I am sure it is easy and I am missing something. Thanks.

locate it in root explorer, press Mount R/W at top of the screen, then long press build.prop and go down to text editor.

Sweet, thanks mrgarrison, I knew it was that simple, I have done a million things on root explorer but never had the need to scroll down the main menu and find the text editor. Thanks again.

Download and install droid root explorer from the market.

Launch it and navigate to your system folder.

Tap the button at the top of the window, to mount RW (read write).

Find the build.prop file and long press on it.

Scroll down on the context menu and select the option to launch the text editor.

Edit the correct line as indicated.

Save.

Set back to RO (read only).

exit and reboot

Just did a fresh install and everything is good!!!! except the rec bug! Does anyone no when this will be fix?...Thanks for all the help

It seems to me that when I was reading the Cyanogenmod 5.0.7 changelog, the video recorder bug was a documented issue. So I believe the problem lies in the actual Cyanogenmod source, and not this ROM specifically.

Correct,

in /system/build.prop

this line...

ro.media.enc.hprof.codec.vid=h264 changes to...
ro.media.enc.hprof.codec.vid=m4v

ro.media.enc.hprof.vid.fps=25 changes to... (not required)
ro.media.enc.hprof.vid.fps=30

ro.media.enc.hprof.vid.bps=3000000 changes to... (not required, bitrate change)
ro.media.enc.hprof.vid.bps=8000000

Be careful of what you change. :-)

You are my hero....thanks!

anyway for someone to make an update.zip for the camera fix (or build.prop)?

edit: did the hack and it works great. thanks

when i opened root explorer it gave me the allow or deny option...but i was picking up the phone as i was going to hit allow...but it switched to landscape mode and i think i hit deny...now root explorer wont open. if i clear data from superuser will this clear any problems?
